The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, through the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation, has begun the payment of compensation based on the fair price established by the Provincial Compulsory Expropriation Jury of Guadalajara to the owners of eleven properties expropriated in the municipality of Cifuentes. The proposal for authorization, commitment, recognition of the obligation, and payment was signed on September 5, 2026, and the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 176, dated September 15, 2026.

The affected properties are part of the compulsory expropriation file under the urgency procedure for the project “Completion of the supply works for the future Water Association of the nuclei adjacent to the Entrepeñas and Buendía reservoirs (Guadalajara and Cuenca)”, with key 03.399.0012/2111. The payment is made in compliance with Article 49 of the Compulsory Expropriation Regulations, which develops the Compulsory Expropriation Law of December 16, 1954.

The announcement identifies eleven properties, all located in the municipality of Cifuentes, with their corresponding cadastral references for polygon and plot:

Method of payment and procedure

Payment will be made via bank transfer to the account designated by the interested parties. Those amounts whose payment cannot be made effective by bank transfer will be deposited in the General Deposit Fund at the disposal of the interested parties; once they rectify the circumstance that led to the deposit, the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation will proceed with the appropriate steps to make the payment effective.

The announcement is made public for the purposes provided for in Article 49 of the Compulsory Expropriation Regulations, and was signed in Madrid on September 10, 2026, by the Secretary General, Álvaro Agustín de Torres Suárez.
