The Viana Irrigation Community calls a general meeting for December 12
Por FactBox Admin

The Viana de Mondéjar Irrigation Community has called an ordinary general meeting for the upcoming December 12, 2026, in which the Presidency, Vice-Presidency, Secretariat, and the members of the Governing Board and the Irrigation Jury will be renewed. The notice is signed by the entity’s president, Pedro Saúca Sierra, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 206, corresponding to Wednesday, October 28, 2026, within the section for associations, societies, cooperatives, communities, notary offices, and others.
Double call and venue at the old Town Hall
The meeting will be held in the hall of the old Town Hall of Viana de Mondéjar, at Plaza de España number 4, within the municipality of Trillo (Guadalajara). The call has been set with two times: at 11:00 AM for the first call and at 11:30 AM for the second, so that the session may be validly constituted even if the initial quorum is not reached.
The call is not limited to the members of the community. The official announcement extends the invitation also to the users and owners of the assets included within the geographical scope of the Viana de Mondéjar Irrigation Community, so that they may be present at an appointment that affects the management of irrigation water in the area.
The text is dated in Viana de Mondéjar on October 24, 2026, and is signed by Pedro Saúca Sierra in his capacity as president, four days before its publication in the provincial gazette.
A four-point agenda
The session will be structured around a closed agenda of four items, combining ordinary operational procedures with the renewal of the governing structure:
- Reading and approval, if applicable, of the minutes of the previous meeting.
- Analysis of the current situation of the Irrigation Community and the future planned works and infrastructure.
- Requests and questions from the attendees.
- Renewal of the positions of President, Vice-President, and Secretary of the Community, as well as the members of the Governing Board and the Irrigation Jury.
The second point is the one that introduces the most content: the board will address the current state of the entity and the scenario of works and infrastructure that will condition the irrigation campaign in the coming years. In the fourth point, the assembly must fill all management positions and the members of the two collegiate bodies that accompany the Presidency.
Renewal of the Irrigation Jury
The announced renewal covers both the Governing Board and the Irrigation Jury, the body responsible for resolving conflicts arising from water use among irrigators. The call thus groups the appointment of single-person positions—Presidency, Vice-Presidency, and Secretariat—with that of the members of both bodies, allowing the entire governance structure of the community to be reconstituted at once.
The announcement is published under the heading of the Irrigation Community of Viana de Mondéjar (Guadalajara) and with the express mention of “call for meeting / ordinary general assembly,” without the official text incorporating further data on candidacies or the specific content of the works to be debated.
A procedure that decides the next irrigation campaign
The appointment on December 12 is the occasion in which the irrigators of the Viana de Mondéjar area determine who will lead the community during the next terms and which infrastructure projects will be put on the table. For the owners and users of the area, attending the assembly—whether in the first or second call—means exercising their right to vote in the renewal of positions and to present their demands during the requests and questions session. The announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara constitutes the formal and official notification of the call to all interested parties.
