The Community of Madrid awards a technical position by free appointment

The Regional Ministry of Environment, Agriculture, and Interior of the Community of Madrid has resolved the call for the provision of a vacant job position through the free appointment procedure, awarding the position to the civil servant Nuria Baratas Crespo. The decision is formalized by Order 3142/2026, dated August 13, published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid number 201, dated August 24, 2026, on pages 33 to 35.

The resolution closes the process opened by Order 1565/2026, dated April 23, which approved the public call to fill the vacant position in the aforementioned ministry and was published in the official gazette on May 4, 2026. The procedure has been processed in accordance with Law 1/1986, of April 10, on the Civil Service of the Community of Madrid, and Order 923/1989, of April 20, which establishes the general bases for calls by merit competition and free appointment.

The awarded position

The awarded position corresponds to the Technical General Secretariat, within the Sub-directorate General for Gambling Regulation and Management, in the inspection area. The awardee, Nuria Baratas Crespo, will hold the position of Support Technician, identified by number 74535.

The vacated position

As a result of the award, the position previously held by the civil servant is vacated, also within the Technical General Secretariat of the same ministry, within the Sub-directorate General for Gambling Regulation and Management.

Deadlines and appeals

The assumption of the new post must take place within a period of three days, counting from the day following the cessation of duties, which must occur within three days following the publication of the resolution. The calculation of the possession period will begin when the permits or licenses granted to the interested party expire.

The order, signed by the Technical General Secretary, Manuel Miguel Beceiro Garat, by delegation of the regional minister, exhausts the administrative route. An appeal for reversal may be filed within one month before the same body, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed within two months before the Contentious-Administrative Courts of Madrid.

The publication of this resolution closes a selection process for civil service personnel of the Community of Madrid, guaranteeing the coverage of a key technical position in the management and regulation of gambling in the region, and reinforces the transparency of the system for filling positions by free appointment in the Madrid administration.
