The Provincial Heritage Commission of Zaragoza changes its architect member
Por FactBox Admin

The Vice President and Counselor of Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport of the Government of Aragon, María del Mar Vaquero Perianez, has ordered the dismissal of Natalia Lajusticia Josa as the architect member of the Provincial Commission of Cultural Heritage of Zaragoza and has appointed Miguel Ángel Laurenzana Martins to that position. The change is formalized through Order PJC/1483/2026, dated October 6, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 203, dated October 20, 2026, in section II (Authorities and Personnel), with official reference BOA20261020001.
The order does not create a new regime, but rather amends Order ECD/146/2025, dated January 21, which had ordered the dismissal and appointment of the members of the provincial commissions and was published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 30, dated February 13, 2025. The modification is limited to the section relating to the province of Zaragoza and leaves the composition established for the rest of the provincial commissions intact.
The framework for the decision is Decree 300/2002, dated September 17, of the Government of Aragon, which regulates the Provincial Commissions of Aragonese Cultural Heritage, modified by Decree 134/2005, dated July 5. Article 4.1 establishes the composition of the plenary of these commissions and Article 6.1 establishes that the appointments of its members are carried out by order of the counselor competent in matters of cultural heritage, upon the proposal of the entities and bodies provided for in the regulation.
What changes in the Zaragoza Commission
Order PJC/1483/2026 contains three agreements and affects a single position within the plenary of the Zaragoza commission:
- Dismissal of Natalia Lajusticia Josa as architect member, with express gratitude for the services rendered.
- Appointment of Miguel Ángel Laurenzana Martins as architect member of the General Directorate of Culture and Cultural Heritage.
- Modification of the second point, section c), of Order ECD/146/2025, which is where the composition of the Provincial Commission of Cultural Heritage of Zaragoza is recorded.
The text signed in Zaragoza on October 6, 2026, does not alter the number of memberships or the distribution of representations described in the 2025 order: it only replaces the person occupying the architecture membership in the Zaragoza commission.
The plenary architect, a direct appointment membership
Decree 300/2002 determines that the plenary of the commission of each province shall be composed, among other members, of an architect proposed by the general director competent in matters of cultural heritage, chosen from the personnel in the service of the department to which that competence is assigned. The order published now specifies that the new member is assigned to the General Directorate of Culture and Cultural Heritage.
The proposal for modification was submitted by that same general directorate, as stated in the preamble of the provision. The counselor acts in the exercise of the powers attributed to her by Decree 124/2026, of July 22, of the Government of Aragon, which approves the organic structure of the Department of Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport.
Notification and entry into force
The third agreement of the order mandates the notification of the provision to the interested parties and to the General Directorate of Culture and Cultural Heritage, in addition to its publication in the Official Gazette of Aragon, which occurs in issue number 203 of October 20, 2026. The regulation bears the signature of the Vice President and Counselor, María del Mar Vaquero Perianez, and is dated in Zaragoza on October 6, 2026.
With this publication, the processing of a modification of limited scope, but with immediate effect on the collegiate body operating in the province of Zaragoza, is completed.
The replacement is significant because the architecture seat is one of the positions that the regulation reserves for the technical staff of the department competent in cultural heritage, such that its holder is part of the plenary of the provincial commission. Order PJC/1483/2026 thus resolves the substitution and guarantees the continuity of the body with the updated composition, without the need to redo the set of appointments approved in January 2025.
