Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of La Carlota (Córdoba) has approved the modification of Ordinance No. 20, regulating the public price for the use of swimming pools, sports facilities, and other similar services. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board in an ordinary session on October 5, 2026, under file 10869/2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba No. 203, dated October 20, 2026, with the official reference BOP-A-2026-3497. The regulation comes into force the day following its publication, that is, October 21, 2026.
The text reaches the gazette signed by the mayor-president, Antonio Granados Miranda, dated in La Carlota on October 13, 2026, and is made public in compliance with article 45.1.a of Law 39/2015, as it is an act addressed to an indeterminate plurality of people. The ordinance is based on articles 41, 44, 47, and 127 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, which approves the revised text of the Law regulating Local Treasuries, and on the municipal competence regarding the promotion of sports under article 25.2.l) of Law 7/1985. The approval expressly repeals the previous ordinance on the same matter.

Swimming courses, memberships, and physiotherapy
The aquatic programs maintain monthly prices ranging from €25.00 for baby swimming and children’s swimming (two days a week) to €28.10 for adult and over-65 courses with three weekly sessions. The therapeutic program reaches €50.00 per month for the five-day-a-week modality.

- Premium Individual Membership: 35 €, 26 €, and 95 €.
- Morning Membership: 27 €, 20 €, and 75 €.

The weight room costs 24 € per month for general users and 53 € per quarter, with a ten-session pass for 30 €. The physiotherapy session is set at 13 € for Sports Area users and 15 € for non-users.
Bonuses of up to 100% and exemptions
The ordinance establishes eleven user tariff categories and a system of non-cumulative reductions, always applying the most favorable one:
- 100% for people in situations of special vulnerability or risk of social exclusion, with a report from Social Services.
- 30% for pensioners and for people with a disability equal to or greater than 33%.
- 15% for large families and for Youth Card holders (14 to 30 years).
- 10% for two siblings in the recreational-sports camp.
Furthermore, 100% exemptions are recognized for local federated sports clubs, local sports clubs or associations, workers of the Security Area and Civil Protection volunteers, children under 3 years old in recreational swimming, Local Police, Civil Guard, and La Carlota Firefighters, municipal volunteers, and high-level or high-performance athletes. The rates are exempt from VAT.
Control of non-payments and refunds
The non-payment of fees will be demanded through the enforcement procedure in accordance with article 46.3 of the Law regulating Local Treasuries and will result in the suspension of service and the loss of the spot. Renewal must be formalized between the 1st and the 25th of the previous month; those who do not pay lose their spot on the 26th. Refunds only apply in specified cases—service not provided, undue payments, or payment errors—and never for non-attendance. Activities require a minimum of ten users per group.
The update directly affects the pockets of the users of the municipal sports facilities and the income of the Sports Area, which manages the collection. The text consolidates a tariff model with reinforced protection for vulnerable groups, pensioners, large families, and local athletes, while tightening the control of non-payment to sustain the municipal treasury.
