The Port Authority of Santander has published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria (BOC) of 12 August 2026 the rules and the call for the recruitment, through a competitive examination, of one Infrastructure Technician position within the permanent labor staff. The call was approved by Resolution of the Director of the Port Authority of 5 August 2026 and appears in section 2.2 of the gazette with the official reference CVE-2026-6432.

Selective tests are announced to fill a single post, permanent in character and within the agreement, with the requirements, assessments, exercises and scores specified in the call itself.
Position conditions and required profile
The position of Infrastructure Technician is classified in Group II, Band II, Level 8 of the sectoral collective agreement. To participate, among other requirements, it will be necessary to hold the Higher-Level Vocational Training qualification in Civil Works Projects or in Building Projects and to prove a valid driving licence, together with the documentation and merits detailed in the application.
- Annual basic remuneration: €24,405.82 (Group II, Band II, Level 8).
- Quality and available working days bonus: €1,095.59.
- Number of posts: one (1), under the permanent labor staff regime.
Deadlines, applications and development of the process
The deadline for submitting applications shall be twenty (20) working days counted from the day following publication of the rules in the BOC. The counting shall be suspended during the month of August, since that month is considered non-working for these purposes, resuming on 1 September, the first working day following the end of August.
- Applications shall be submitted electronically, at the General Registry of the Santander Port Authority (Maliaño Wharf, s/n, 39009 Santander) or by any of the means provided for in Article 16 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
- The process will be carried out in two phases: the competitive examination —with a generic competency test (up to 10 points) and a personal interview (up to 20 points)— and the merit-based competition, with assessment of training and professional merits worth up to 20 points, including English certification in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference.
- The order of appearance of applicants will begin with those whose first surname starts with the letter “B”, in accordance with the Resolution of 29 June 2026 of the State Secretariat for the Civil Service.
- The rules will also be published on the website of the Port Authority (www.puertosantander.com) and on that of Puertos del Estado, as well as in a national newspaper and a regional newspaper.
Selection board
By Resolution of the Director of the Santander Port Authority, dated 5 August 2026, the Board that will assess the process has been appointed, composed of a Chairperson, a Secretary —with voice but without vote— and three members, with their respective alternates:
- Chairperson: Christian Manrique Valdor; alternate: José María Mier López.
- Secretary: Susana García Sanz; alternate: Inmaculada López López.
- Members: Paula Torre García Barredo, Yolanda Luengo García and Miguel Ángel San Emeterio Telechea.
