The Provincial Court publishes the 700 jury candidates for 2027-2028

The Provincial Court of Cantabria has made public the certified list of the biennial draw of jury candidates for the 2027-2028 period, consisting of 700 people. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria no. 198, dated October 15, 2026, within section 8.2 (Other announcements), with reference CVE-2026-7546 and case file 14/2026. The document certifies the result of the draw held on September 16, 2026, at the headquarters of the Provincial Court.

The selection act had been convened in advance. In compliance with Article 13.2 of Organic Law 5/1995, of May 22, on the Jury Court, and Royal Decree 1398/1995, of August 4, the holding of the draw was announced in the Official Gazette of Cantabria no. 166, dated August 28, 2026 (CVE-2026-6761), at the request of the provincial delegation of the National Statistics Institute and the Electoral Census Office. The appointment was set for 10:00 AM on September 16, 2026, in the Courtroom of the First Section of the Provincial Court.

The list is obtained from the Electoral Census list, as provided in Article 13 of Organic Law 5/1995 and in accordance with the selection process provided for in Royal Decree 1398/1995, of August 4, amended by Royal Decree 2067/1996, of September 13. The text occupies twelve pages of the gazette, from 52810 to 52821.

A list of 700 candidates valid until the end of 2028

The publication reproduces the complete list of selected persons, with these essential data:

• Total number of candidates: 700.
• Nature of the list: provisional list of jury candidates.
• Validity period: until December 31, 2028.
• Content of each entry: municipality, order number, first surname, second surname, first name, and ID number (DNI) with some digits hidden.
• Order of the list: alphabetical by municipality, from Alfoz de Lloredo to Voto.

Who signs and certifies the document

The announcement incorporates two signatures and a certification of authenticity:

• Julio Iván Antolín Muñoz, managing lawyer of the Common Processing Service of the Provincial Court of Cantabria, issues the testimony in Santander on September 25, 2026.
• Sofía Muriedas García, provincial delegate of the Electoral Census Office, signs the list of candidates in Santander on September 16, 2026.
• The testimony states that the published version matches the original and bears the code 2026/7546.

Legal basis and publicity of the list

The dissemination of the list responds to an express legal obligation:

• Legal basis: Article 13 of Organic Law 5/1995, of May 22, on the Jury Court.
• Regulatory development: Royal Decree 1398/1995, of August 4, amended by Royal Decree 2067/1996, of September 13.

The 700 citizens included in the list may be called to serve on a jury over the next two years, as the list remains in effect until December 31, 2028. Publication in the bulletin allows any interested party to check if they appear on it and to know the municipality and the order number with which they were selected.
