The Huesca Court certifies 600 jury candidates for the 2027-2028 biennium
Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Court of Huesca has certified the complete list of jury candidates for the 2027-2028 biennium, a census of 600 people including first name, surnames, order number, and municipality of residence. The certification was signed in Huesca on October 26, 2026, by the Court Clerk Cristina Marta Tisner Gracia, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 206, dated this Tuesday, October 27, 2026, within the Administration of Justice section, under the official reference BOPH-2026-206023. Any adult resident of the province may appear on this list and be called to serve as part of a popular jury.
The text, which occupies pages 75 to 91 of the gazette (17 pages of annex), is issued “for the purposes of article 13.4” of the Organic Law 5/1995, of May 22, of the Jury Court, and is headed by number 4770 of the Common Processing Service of the Provincial Court of Huesca. The document does not include details of the cases or proceedings: it is a nominal certification of the candidate census, ordered alphabetically by municipality of residence.
A census of 600 holders distributed throughout the province
The list numbers the candidates from 1 to 600. The list is headed by Domingo Mur López, a resident of Abiego, with order number 0000144; it is closed by candidate 600, Carlos Mancho Pena, from Vencillón, with order number 0165732. Between them, the list covers practically all the municipalities of Huesca, from the Pyrenean centers to those of La Litera, Cinca Medio, and Los Monegros.
By volume of residents included, the large municipalities concentrate the majority of the census:
- Huesca: 145 candidates (positions 233 to 377).
- Barbastro: 46 candidates (positions 48 to 93).
- Monzón: 44 candidates (positions 435 to 478).
- Jaca: 38 candidates (positions 382 to 419).
- Fraga: 34 candidates (positions 177 to 210).
- Binéfar: 24 candidates (positions 119 to 142).
In contrast, dozens of small towns provide a single name, such as Abiego, Adahuesca, Aisa, Albero Alto, Alberuela de Tubo, Alcampeón, Alcubierre, Almudévar, Alquézar, Angüés, Arguis, Bailo, Barbuñales, Bierge, Boltaña, Broto, Candasnos, Capella, Estadilla, Fiscal, Loarre, Naval, or Vencillón, among many others.
From the September draw to the October certification
The publication of this list is the final link in a procedure that began on September 21, 2026. On that day, at 10:00 AM in Courtroom number 6 of the Palace of Justice, on Calatayud street s/n in Huesca, the public draw for the selection of jury candidates for the 2027-2028 biennium was held.
The call for this act was announced in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 172, dated September 9, 2026, via an announcement from the Provincial Delegation of the National Statistics Institute in Huesca and the Electoral Census Office of Huesca, signed by the provincial delegate Diego Miguel Armesto García. It was issued in compliance with article 13.2 of Organic Law 5/1995 and Royal Decree 1398/1995, of August 4.
Something more than five weeks have elapsed between the draw and the certification, a period during which the nominal list was closed and the assignment of each candidate to their municipality of residence was verified.
How to read the list
The annex is organized into four columns: consecutive number from 1 to 600, first and last names, order number, and municipality. Names appear in uppercase and municipalities in alphabetical order, so that the reader can locate any person by locality.
The order number is not an internal file code, but rather the one accompanying each candidate in the electoral census used for the draw: it ranges from 0000144 for the first holder to 0165732 for the last. The certification is signed by the lawyer of the Administration of Justice of the Provincial Court of Huesca and bears the control stamp BOPH-2026-206023.
Inclusion in the list does not imply an immediate summons: it establishes the census from which, in each process, the people who will finally compose the jury will emerge. Being designated as a candidate does not exempt one from the obligations that the law imposes on those who are eventually called.
Impact for readers
For the 600 residents included, the publication of this list is the first formal notice that they may be summoned to intervene in a trial during 2027 and 2028. For the rest of the province’s residents, it confirms that the jury census for the new biennium is already closed and published, and that any inquiry regarding one’s own inclusion must be directed to the Provincial Court of Huesca or the electoral census office, which is the entity that custodies the previous draw.
