Por FactBox Admin

The Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, a public law entity attached to the Ministry of Culture, Historical Heritage and Sport, has called for the submission of artistic projects to participate in the 2027 edition of the Andalusian Art and Education Program. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) no. 192, dated October 2, 2026, by means of the Resolution of September 23, 2026, from the Agency’s Directorate (reference 00344128). The projects will be developed in educational centers supported by public funds across the eight Andalusian provinces and are funded by the Ministry of Culture.
The program is part of the strategy launched in 2025 by the Ministry of Culture within the Cultural Rights Plan to promote art and education projects aimed at children and youth in educational centers throughout the Spanish territory. For the 2026 financial year, the Sectoral Conference on Culture, in its meeting on April 30, 2026, approved the credit distribution criteria and the management conditions of the funds among communities and autonomous cities. As Andalusia holds exclusive competence in cultural matters, the management and execution of the fund correspond to the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
Deadlines, amounts, and recipients
The deadline for submitting applications is 10 business days, starting the day after publication in the BOJA; applications submitted after the deadline will be inadmissible. Processing is exclusively electronic, through the Electronic Window of the Junta de Andalucía, using the application form Annex I and procedure code 25885.
Each project will have a minimum amount of 10,000 euros and a maximum of 50,000 euros, VAT included. Each artist or group may submit a maximum of two projects and, if the budget varies according to the area, educational stage, or type of center, independent applications must be submitted, up to a maximum of two.
The call is addressed to:
- Artists, authors, and creators.
- Companies, associations, or professional formations of artistic and cultural agents with their own legal personality and capacity to contract.
Educational centers and program objectives
The projects will be developed in centers supported by public funds in the eight Andalusian provinces:
- Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary, and Baccalaureate Education.
- Basic, Intermediate, and Higher Vocational Training cycles.
- Special Education Centers.
The assignment of centers will be carried out in coordination with the Department of Education, according to the preferences for area, educational level, and type of center indicated in the application. The program aims to promote experimentation and educational innovation through culture and the arts, foster the artistic and creative capacities of the students, encourage inclusion and cultural diversity, and integrate artistic practices into the curriculum and the Center’s Educational Project, in line with the LOMLOE and the Education Law of Andalusia.
Assessment, development, and obligations
The assessment will be the responsibility of an Assessment Commission chaired by the head of the Management of the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, composed of at least five members appointed by the Agency and three appointed by the Department of Education. The criteria and maximum scores are:
- Quality, interest, and innovative nature of the project: 35 points.
- Curriculum or artistic trajectory: 20 points.
- Budgetary adequacy for the project: 20 points.
- Participatory, practical, and inclusive methodologies: 15 points.
- Projects aimed at vulnerable centers or municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants: 10 points.
The projects will be executed throughout 2027, during school hours and without spanning more than one school year, and will conclude with a closing event. The awardee assumes all material and personnel costs, and the centers cannot be required to finance materials or equipment; furthermore, the awardee must provide the negative certification from the Central Registry of Sexual Offenders for personnel who come into direct contact with students. Those selected grant the Agency the rights of fixation, reproduction, distribution, and public communication for a period of five years.
State funding and publicity
The Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions will sign artistic service contracts, contracts for artistic and literary creation and performance, and show contracts with those selected, in accordance with Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts. Beneficiaries must incorporate the official logo of the Ministry of Culture and the generic brand of the Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía) on all dissemination materials, with express mention of the program and the Cultural Rights Plan. The resolution is signed by the director of the Agency, José Ángel Vélez González.
The call opens a stable contracting route for Andalusian artists, companies, and ensembles and brings professional creative work to classrooms throughout the community, with priority for centers in vulnerable environments and small municipalities. For educational centers, it means incorporating contemporary artistic practice as a pedagogical resource within school hours and the center’s project.
