The AESIA announces two freely designated positions in A Coruña.

The Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence (AESIA) has announced the provision of two jobs through the free designation system, by means of its Directorate’s Resolution of 10 August 2026, published in today’s Official State Gazette, Monday, 17 August 2026. Interested civil servants will have a period of fifteen working days, counted from the day following publication, to submit their applications.
The call is based on Article 20.1.c) of Law 30/1984, of 2 August, on measures for the reform of the civil service, and on Article 52 of the General Regulations for the Entry of Personnel into the Service of the General State Administration and for the Provision of Jobs, approved by Royal Decree 364/1995, of 10 March. The Agency’s Directorate acts under the powers conferred by Article 24.1.k) of Royal Decree 729/2023, of 22 August, and the resolution is signed by the Director General, Alberto Gago Fernández, in A Coruña.
Two positions at the agency’s headquarters
The positions announced are located in A Coruña, the agency’s headquarters, and are assigned to the State Administration:
- Secretary to the Director General (position 5730498, level 17, specific supplement of €8,831.48, corps C1 and C2): managing the Director’s agenda, organising meetings, official travel and secondments, handling mail, filing and registration, drafting briefing notes and supporting communication and social media tasks.
- Assistant Deputy Director of the Subdirectorate for Certification, Trend Assessment, Coordination and Training in Artificial Intelligence (position 5799612, level 29, specific supplement of €41,536.18, group A1): coordinating the team of AI inspectors and administrative staff, supervising and controlling procedures and case files.
Requirements and assessed merits
In addition to meeting the requirements for the performance of the positions, applicants must attach to their application their curriculum vitae with academic qualifications, positions held and studies and courses completed. The merits assessed include:
- For the directorate secretariat: experience in similar functions, proficiency in the Sorolla, Geiser and TEAMS tools, and English with a minimum level B2, written and spoken.
- For the assistant deputy director position: experience in inspection work in any field and in managing and controlling administrative procedures, as well as English level B2 or equivalent.
How to submit the application
Applications, in accordance with the model in Annex II of the resolution, shall be addressed to the Directorate of AESIA within the period of fifteen working days.
- In general, through the Funciona portal (HR services, SIGP), accreditation by means of an electronic certificate being essential.
- Exceptionally, through the Common Electronic Registry, addressed to the agency (DIR: EA0054627), when there is a technical impossibility of using the portal, which must be documented.
Against the resolution, which ends the administrative route, an appeal for reconsideration may be filed within one month before the body that issued the act, in accordance with Law 39/2015, of 1 October, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Galicia or of the plaintiff’s domicile, according to Law 29/1998, of 13 July.
The call comes at a time when the AESIA staff is being configured, the body responsible for supervising the development and use of artificial intelligence in Spain, and opens to civil servants of the General State Administration the possibility of joining key positions of the regulator, both in the management core and in the sub-directorate responsible for certification, trend evaluation and AI training.
