The Balearic Housing Institute corrects the Inca quota of the rental list
Por FactBox Admin

The Balearic Housing Institute (IBAVI) has rectified the general quota for the municipality of Inca in the provisional list of participants for the award procedure of vacant rental housing in the Balearic Islands. The correction of errors is published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) no. 139, dated October 31, 2026, under announcement number 10921 and signed on October 29, 2026.
A material error in the general quota of Inca
The origin of the rectification is a material error noticed in the general quota of Inca within the provisional list of participants published in BOIB no. 135, dated October 22, 2026, the same announcement that initiated the procedure. The IBAVI does not specify the numerical scope of the modification in the announcement: it limits itself to acknowledging the error and ordering the full publication of the list with the corresponding correction.
The procedure stems from the agreement of the Board of Directors of the IBAVI on October 5, 2026, which approved the award of vacant rental housing across all the Balearic Islands. The document is signed by the managing director, Roberto M. Cayuela Rexach.
Three annexes and a full republication
The correction does not only affect Inca: the entire provisional list is republished, divided into three annexes.
- Annex I: Ibiza and Formentera.
- Annex II: Mallorca, which includes the municipality of Inca.
- Annex III: Menorca.
Each row of the list identifies the applicant with a code, the NIF or NIE, and the assigned score, and indicates the applied quota—general or preferential—as well as whether the application qualifies for reduced mobility. The complete list occupies 82 pages of fascicle 302 of Section V, starting on page 60363 of the gazette.
The publication coincides in time with another IBAVI procedure: on the same day, October 22, the elevation to final status of the lists of awardees from a previous procedure, approved by the Board of Directors on July 28, 2025, was announced in BOIB no. 135. However, this is a different file from the one currently being corrected.
Ten business days to submit allegations
The deadline for submitting allegations remains ten business days and begins to count the day after the publication of the correction in the gazette. Persons included in the list may submit allegations if they disagree, whether regarding the score or the assigned quota.
The complete rules of the call can be consulted at:
- IBAVI office in Palma, carrer de Manuel Azaña, 9, baixos.
- IBAVI office in Ibiza, carrer de Canàries, 35, Cetis building, tower 4, first floor.
- IBAVI office in Mahón, carrer de Fernández de Angulo, 2-4, baixos.

Consequences for applicants from Inca
The rectification has a direct effect on people aspiring to rental housing in Inca, because the position within the general quota determines the order of allocation and, therefore, the real possibilities of obtaining one of the vacant dwellings available in the municipality. Since the list is republished in its entirety and not as a partial amendment, applicants must check their score and their corresponding quota again before the deadline for appeals expires.
