L'Escala approves artificial turf for the auxiliary football field.

The Town Council of l’Escala has definitively approved the project to surface the auxiliary football field with artificial turf, with a contract execution amount of €448,027.12, VAT included. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board at its ordinary session of 5 August 2026 and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona (No. 156, of 14 August 2026), with reference BOP-2026_0_156_7191.

The notice, processed under file 2026/2406, gives publicity to a resolution that exhausts the administrative route. In addition to the approval of the project, the agreement provides for its insertion in the DOGC, the BOP, the notice board of the town hall and the municipal website. The document is signed by the mayor, Josep Bofill i Testart, with an electronic signature date of 6 August 2026.

An investment of almost half a million euros

The approved project aims to surface the auxiliary football field of l’Escala with artificial turf. The total contract execution amount, including VAT, exceeds €448,000:

• Total contract execution amount (VAT included): €448,027.12.
• Amount in words: four hundred forty-eight thousand twenty-seven euros and twelve cents.
• Purpose: surfacing of the auxiliary football field with artificial turf.

Processing and publicity

The agreement was adopted in the ordinary session held by the Local Government Board of the Town Council of l’Escala on 5 August 2026. The resolution must be made public through official and municipal channels so that all persons who may be affected are informed:

• Publication in the DOGC and the BOP de Girona.
• Publication on the notice board of the town hall.
• Publication on the municipal website (www.lescala.cat).

Appeal deadlines

As this is a resolution that exhausts the administrative route, interested persons have the following appeal options:

• Optional reconsideration appeal: one month from notification, before the same body that issued the resolution.
• Administrative contentious appeal: two months from notification, before the Administrative Contentious Court of Girona.
• Alternatively, any other appeal deemed pertinent.

With the final approval, the artificial turf project for the auxiliary football field is administratively closed and ready to move toward the execution of the works. This is a project of nearly half a million euros that directly affects the users and sports entities that use this municipal facility.
