Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Court of Tarragona has made public the provisional list of jury candidates for the 2027-2028 period. The edict occupies 59 pages of the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona dated October 15, 2026, and is published under the official reference CVE 2026-09287. The text, signed in Tarragona on October 5, 2026, by the Justice Administration clerk José Antonio Ruiz Pardo, is framed within Article 13 of the Organic Law of the Jury Court.
The publication is made under Government File no. 21/2026 of the Provincial Court of Tarragona and responds to the legal mandate to make public the provisional list of persons candidates to serve as jurors during the 2027-2028 biennium. With 59 pages, it is the most extensive document in the gazette of that day. Although the BOP of Tarragona is edited in Catalan, the text of the edict is in Spanish, as is customary in acts of the Justice Administration.
The list is ordered by municipality and includes, for each person, the municipality of residence, both surnames, the first name, and the DNI number, which appears partially hidden with asterisks to protect personal data. The list covers practically the entire geography of the province, from the Camp de Tarragona to the Terres de l’Ebre and the Penedès.
A list that reaches the entire territory
The candidates are grouped by municipality, so the list draws an almost complete map of the province. Among the centers with the most presence are the large municipalities, but small villages from all regions also appear.
- Reus, Tarragona, Tortosa, Valls, and El Vendrell, the most populated municipalities in the province.
- Salou, Cambrils, Vila-seca, Calafell, Torredembarra, Amposta, and La Ràpita, among the coastal centers.
- Deltebre, Sant Jaume d’Enveja, Camarles, L’Aldea, and L’Ampolla, in the Terres de l’Ebre.
- La Canonja, which closes the list with the last published candidate.
What each record is like
Each row of the list contains five fields, presented in columns throughout the 59 pages of the edict:
- MUNICIPIO: the municipality where the person is registered.
- APE1 and APE2: the first and second surnames.
- NOMBRE: the first name.
- DNI: the identity document, with the central digits replaced by asterisks.
The total exceeds 3,000 people, according to the record count of the document, and includes names of people of all ages and origins, reflecting the current demographic composition of the province.
No specific deadline in the edict
The published text is limited to making the provisional list public and does not specify any deadline for allegations nor the procedure to amend or challenge it. Nor does it indicate the date on which the final list will be published or the total number of people included.
The edict also does not detail the inclusion criteria or the requirements that candidates must meet, matters which are referred to the regulations governing the Jury Court.
For readers, the publication has an immediate practical effect: anyone appearing on this list may be called to serve on a jury during the 2027-2028 biennium, a service of a mandatory nature. Consulting the list is, therefore, the way to find out if one’s own name is among the candidates and to verify that the published data are correct before the list becomes final.
