Vallenar Court orders survey of 300 mining hectares of Kairos Chile

The 1st Court of Letters of Vallenar ordered the surveying of the 30 mining exploitation claims named “LA FORTUNA VII 4, 1 TO 30”, covering a total area of 300 hectares, at the request of Compañía Minera Kairos Chile SpA. The resolution, issued on August 11, 2026, was published in the Official Mining Bulletin on Monday, August 24, 2026 (No. 44,532, Section VII, CVE 2858390).

The request was submitted by attorney Gonzalo Phillips del Pozo on behalf of the company, within the legal timeframe established by Article 59 of the Mining Code. The court accepted the manifestation filed on January 21, 2022, exercising the preferential right granted by the “LA FORTUNA VII 4” petition.

Scope of the survey

The claims are distributed into 30 units of 10 hectares each, which together complete the 300 manifested hectares. The group is located in the commune of Vallenar, with U.T.M. coordinates referred to the International Ellipsoid 1924, provisional South American Datum origin “La Canoa” 1956, zone 19.

• Upper side of the rectangle: 1,000 meters North-South by 3,000 meters East-West.
• Each claim: 100 meters North-South by 1,000 meters East-West.
• Perimeter vertices: P.I., V1, V2, V3, and V4, with an azimuth of 320.4833 centesimal degrees.

Surveying expert and procedure

In the fourth otrosí of the submission, mining civil engineer Amanda Angélica Schüler Rocco (RUT 10.723.139-0), residing at Las Margaritas 258, Sindempart, Coquimbo, was designated as the surveying expert. The court noted the appointment and ordered her notification.
