Justicia convoca por libre designación un puesto de Tramitación de apoyo a la Presidencia del Tribunal de Instancia

The General Directorate of Relations with the Administration of Justice of the Government of the Canary Islands has announced, via the free appointment system, a job position for the Procedural and Administrative Processing Corps intended to provide support to the governing function of the Presidency of the Court of First Instance. The call is formalized through the Resolution of October 7, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands no. 210, of October 21, 2026 (reference boc-a-2026-210-3621), within section II, Authorities and personnel, Competitive examinations and contests.

The regulatory framework of the call

The resolution is based on the fourth transitional provision of Law 19/2003, of December 23, amending Organic Law 6/1985, of July 1, of the Judiciary, which grants autonomous communities with assumed competencies the authority to approve job position lists and the alignment of civil servants with a definitive destination within their territorial scope.

The job position list of the Judicial Offices of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands includes various singularized positions whose method of provision is free appointment, in accordance with articles 56 and following of Royal Decree 1451/2005, of December 7, which approves the Regulations for Entry, Provision of Job Positions, and Professional Promotion of Civil Service Personnel at the Service of the Administration of Justice.

The issuing body acts in the exercise of the competencies attributed to it by article 103 of the Organic Regulation of the Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice, and Security, approved by Decree 108/2024, of July 31. The resolution bears the signature of the Director General of Relations with the Administration of Justice, María Leonor Ferrer Sancho, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

A single destination in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Annex I of the call lists the offered positions, which on this occasion are reduced to one, categorized under the General Common Service:

  • Location: Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
  • Title: Processing-Support Governing Function-SCG, Presidency TI.
  • Corps: Procedural and Administrative Processing.
  • Position Identifier: 50422160.

Only civil servants of the Procedural and Administrative Processing Corps who are in active service or in any other administrative situation that entails the reservation of a job position at the time the application deadline ends may apply, in accordance with article 43 of the aforementioned regulation.

Excluded are those on voluntary leave without a reserved position, those with a final suspension for the duration of said suspension, those sanctioned with a compulsory transfer to a destination in the same locality until one or three years have elapsed depending on whether the offense was serious or very serious, and those convicted by a final judgment for crimes against sexual freedom and indemnity or for human trafficking.

Five business days and electronic processing

The deadline for submitting applications is five business days starting from the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands, which sets the closing date as October 28, 2026. The applications, following the model in Annex II, shall be addressed to the General Directorate of Relations with the Administration of Justice and must be submitted through the Electronic Registry of the electronic office of the Public Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.

Along with the application, candidates must provide their curriculum vitae accrediting the Body to which they belong, the classification group, academic qualifications, years of service, and positions held, in addition to any merits they consider appropriate in relation to the functions of the position and the reliable documentation supporting them.

The call will be resolved by resolution of the Director General within two months from the day following the end of the application period, and will be published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands. The appointed personnel may be dismissed at the discretion of the same authority that appointed them, and may resign from the position via a reasoned request provided they have held it for at least one year. The call will be declared void if no one applies or if those who apply do not meet the requirements.

An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution before the General Directorate within one month, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Courts within two months, according to article 9 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.

Impact for justice officials

The call opens a very limited mobility route—a single position and a deadline of barely one week—for Processing staff stationed in the Canary Islands who wish to join government support tasks in the Presidency of the Court of First Instance in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. As it is a position of free appointment, the award does not depend on an automatic scale, but on the assessment of merits and the trust for the performance of direct support functions for the judicial governing body.
