Justice Minister appoints two authorised estate administrators at Aalborg court

Justitsministeren has appointed two Aalborg lawyers, Rebekka Højmark-Breiner and Ditte Frederiksen Østergaard, as authorised estate administrators at Retten i Aalborg, by decision dated 19 October 2026. The appointments were published in Statstidende on 21 October 2026, in the notices category “Diverse · Afskedigelser og udnævnelser”, under the official references S19102026-185 and S19102026-181. Both notices list the appointees simply as “advokat” with Aalborg as their town, and neither carries a case number, a probation period or any stated condition.

The wording of the two notices is the standard one-line formula used for judicial appointments of this kind: “Justitsministeren har den 19. oktober 2026 antaget nedennævnte som autoriseret bobestyrer ved Retten i Aalborg.” The authorisation is personal and tied to a named court, not to a law firm, and it is the ministry — not the court itself — that makes the appointment.

The same construction appears elsewhere in the gazette for other court roles. On 26 August 2026 the ministry appointed Kasper Fuhr Christensen as “beneficeret advokat” at Retten i Randers (S26082026-106), using an identical sentence. Such appointments can also lapse: on 9 October 2026 Statstidende recorded that Elisabeth Nymann Eriksen’s appointment as authorised estate administrator at Retten i Nykøbing Falster had fallen away with effect from 1 October 2026, after her lawyer’s commission of 5 February 1987 was deposited with Civilstyrelsen (S07102026-239).

What the authorisation covers

An authorised estate administrator is a lawyer who has been taken on by the ministry to administer estates at a specific court. In the gazette’s own records, administrators holding that authorisation are installed to handle death estates that have passed to insolvency administration under section 69 of the Danish estate administration act — as when Martin Høj Lauridsen was installed in a Horsens estate in August 2026 (S28082026-44).

The Aalborg jurisdiction handles a steady flow of such work. Complaints in estate matters there are directed to Retten i Aalborg, Skifteretten, Badehusvej 17, 9000 Aalborg (S28082026-101), and local practitioners already appear in the gazette’s death-estate notices — Lise Wilson is recorded as continuing as administrator in Aalborg insolvency estates in September 2026 (S01092026-256, S01092026-270).

Two names, two separate notices

The ministry published the two appointments as distinct announcements rather than a single list:

  • Rebekka Højmark-Breiner, advokat, Aalborg — authorised estate administrator at Retten i Aalborg, decision of 19 October 2026 (S19102026-185).
  • Ditte Frederiksen Østergaard, advokat, Aalborg — authorised estate administrator at Retten i Aalborg, decision of 19 October 2026 (S19102026-181).

Both entries sit in the miscellaneous section of the gazette, alongside dismissals and other appointments, and both were signed off in the same edition of 21 October 2026.

A court that keeps appearing

Retten i Aalborg is named 28 times across the notices in the 21 October 2026 edition of Statstidende, spanning forced auctions, bankruptcy estates and estate administrations. The two new authorisations therefore add to a roster that is already heavily used in the north Jutland insolvency circuit, where the same court appears week after week in the gazette’s auction and estate listings.

The practical effect is procedural rather than dramatic: two more lawyers in Aalborg can now be assigned estate work by the court, and creditors dealing with an estate in the jurisdiction have two further names to look for in the notices. For practitioners, the appointments also signal that the ministry is actively filling the Aalborg roster rather than letting it shrink — a contrast with the Nykøbing Falster authorisation that quietly lapsed at the start of October.
