Junta Electoral de Grado habilita locales y paneles para la campaña electoral

The Zonal Electoral Board of Grado has made public the venues and spaces reserved for the free holding of electoral campaign events and for the placement of propaganda in the councils of its jurisdiction. The list, signed in Grado on October 29, 2026, by the body’s secretary, Ana de la Peña Rodríguez, is published urgently in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) no. 214, of November 5, 2026, with the official reference 2026-09022.

The list is submitted in compliance with the request of the Provincial Electoral Board and for the purposes of Article 57.2 of the Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the General Electoral Regime (LOREG), which requires city councils to reserve official premises and public places for the free holding of campaign events, as well as sites for banners, posters, and placards. The certification is sent to the Provincial Electoral Board, the Government Delegation, and the official gazette for dissemination.

The framework is the electoral process for the General Courts called for November 29, for which the various zonal electoral boards of Asturias have been publishing their respective lists since mid-October. The Zonal Electoral Board of Grado was constituted on October 9, 2026, under the presidency of Nuria Ballvé Botas, according to the minutes published in BOPA no. 199, of October 14, 2026 (reference 2026-08361).

Six councils and thirteen free-use venues

The list covers the city councils of Muros de Nalón, Teverga, Belmonte de Miranda, Yernes y Tameza, Candamo, and Cudillero, with a total of thirteen enabled venues:

  • Muros de Nalón: the Casa de Cultura de Muros de Nalón, from 18:00 to 21:00 hours Monday to Friday (except holidays), and the “Tito Fernández” Cultural Center in San Esteban de Pravia, during the same hours.
  • Teverga: the Casa de Cultura, available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons, and Saturdays and Sundays all day.
  • Belmonte de Miranda: the San Bartolomé School, the Boinás School, and the Sociocultural Building of the municipal capital.
  • Yernes y Tameza: the Multi-Purpose Building of Villabre and the Yernes Public Library, freely available throughout the campaign.
  • Candamo: the Grullos Municipal Sports Center (El Charco neighborhood, 96) and the Grullos Multipurpose Cultural and Social Center (El Pueblo neighborhood, 92).
  • Cudillero: the halls of the Casa de la Cultura de Cudillero and the Casa de la Cultura de Soto de Luiña, in addition to public schools, social centers, and public squares in the rural area.

Schedules and conditions of use

Schedules vary by municipality, and those responsible for the spaces must respect the time slots established by each town council.

  • In Cudillero, use is authorized from 18:00 to 23:00 hours, except for the Plaza de San Pedro, which can be used without time limits and every day of the week.
  • In Muros de Nalón, the schedule is limited to afternoons from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
  • In Yernes y Tameza, the premises are freely available during the campaign days.

Retaining walls, poles, and squares for posters

For printed propaganda, municipal panels, lighting poles, and other supports in the public domain are reserved:

  • In Muros de Nalón, the panels of the Plaza del Marqués, all public lighting poles, and the retaining walls of the CN-632 in the area of El Parador y Era.
  • In San Esteban de Pravia, the panels of calle Casto Plasencia (El Muelle) and calle Conde de Gualdalhorce, in addition to all lighting poles.
  • In Teverga, the lighting poles located in the public domain, with the obligation to use removable supports and without glues or adhesives.
  • In Belmonte de Miranda, the notice board in the park area, the easel in Boinás, and the easel or notice board in Puente San Martín.
  • In Yernes y Tameza, three panels: on the AS-311 road at the entrance to Villabre, in the square of Bar la Bolera in Yernes, and at the entrance to Yernes via the road to Grado through Rañeces.
  • In Candamo, the information boards in front of the Town Hall, in the El Campo neighborhood number 27, in Grullo.
  • In Cudillero, the panels of the Plaza del Comercio, the Plaza de La Marina, the Plaza de Don José Barcia, and the Plaza Príncipe de Asturias in Soto de Luiña.

A distribution that organizes the electoral competition

The publication establishes the material rules of the campaign in western and central Asturias: the parties and candidacies competing in these six councils already know which facilities they can use free of charge and in which time slots, while residents have a public map of the supports where the propaganda will appear. The distribution also avoids conflicts between formations over the use of municipal spaces and specifies the obligations of the town councils regarding the assembly and maintenance of panels until election day.
