Jijona opens public information for the hybridization of the CSF Puentes photovoltaic plant
Por FactBox Admin

The Territorial Service of Industry, Energy and Mines of Alicante has submitted for new public consultation the modification of the prior and construction administrative authorization, and the occupation of livestock tracks, for the CSF Puentes photovoltaic plant, 40 MW, in the municipality of Jijona. The procedure responds to changes in the interconnection infrastructure and the hybridization of the installation with electrochemical batteries. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP) No. 202, of October 23, 2026, under file ATMOFE/2026/2/03, and opens a period of 30 business days to submit allegations.
From 32.6 MW authorized to 40 MW
The file stems from a previous resolution: on October 25, 2024, the General Directorate of Energy and Mines granted MARPANI SOLAR 3, S.L. the prior and construction administrative authorizations and approved the decommissioning and restoration plan for CSF Puentes, then 32.6 MW, including its evacuation infrastructure and the STM Sarga substation, to be transferred to I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U., with a declaration of public utility for the evacuation in file ATALFE/2020/106.
The review of the technical documentation detected substantial modifications limited to the interconnection lines, derived from the reduction in the number of transformers and the resulting change in layout. Hence this new public consultation within file ATMOFE/2026/2/03, titled “Hybridization of the CSF Puentes”.
The invoked regulatory framework includes Decree-law 14/2020, of August 7, of the Consell, Law 24/2013, of December 26, of the Electricity Sector, Royal Decree 1955/2000, of December 1, Law 21/2013, of December 9, on Environmental Assessment, and Law 3/2014, of July 11, on Livestock Tracks of the Valencian Community, among other regulations.
180.576 MWh Batteries and 64,506 Modules
The competent body for authorization is the General Directorate of Energy and Mines of the Third Vice-Presidency and Department of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory and Recovery. The declared technical characteristics are:
- Total maximum power of the photovoltaic modules: 48,096.054 kWp.
- Nominal inverter power: 33 MW; transformation capacity: 40,200 kVA.
- Storage capacity: 180.576 MWh; granted access capacity: 35.045 MW.
- Generating field of 64,506 bifacial modules of 660 Wp (759 Wp with a bifaciality factor of 15%) on fixed structures.
- 110 inverters of 300 kW and 6 transformers of 6,600 kVA to step up the voltage to 30 kV.
- 36 battery containers of 5.016 MWh each, with 4 hours of discharge and 45.144 MW of power, connected via 6 power stations of 7,856 kVA and 12 inverters of 3,741 kVA.
The installed power is set at 40 MW in accordance with the definition of Royal Decree 997/2025, of November 5, taking as a reference the power of the SET 30/132 kV Puentes, authorized in ATALFE/2020/106 and not modified. The budget for the photovoltaic plant and the storage modules amounts to 35,073,576.00 euros, and that of the sectioning center to 370,858.00 euros.
Land of polygon 5 and two livestock routes
The 30 kV underground interconnection lines run through polygon 5, plots 1, 13, 14, 15, 24, 27, 28, 29, 34, 69, 9006, 9008, 9009, 9011, 9012, and 9013 of Jijona. The storage system is located on plot 34 of the same polygon.
The requested temporary occupation affects two livestock routes:
- Sendera de la Torre de les Maçanes.
- Carrerada de la Tosca.
Offprints have been sent to the Jijona City Council, I-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, S.A.U., the Provincial Council of Alicante, the Third Vice-Presidency and Department of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory and Recovery, the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation, and Telefónica, S.A.U.
Allegations within 30 business days
The documentation —the consolidated hybridization project, the sectioning project, the decommissioning plan, and the documentation for the occupation of livestock routes— will be available in the public information section of the Generalitat website the day after publication. Allegations may be submitted electronically via the Generalitat’s electronic office or by any of the means specified in Article 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. The announcement was signed in Alicante on October 13, 2026, by the head of the Territorial Service, Sara Blanes Bas.
The procedure is relevant for the landowners of polygon 5, for the users of the affected livestock routes, and for the municipality as a whole: the hybridization increases the installation’s capacity up to 40 MW and adds a storage system of more than 180 MWh, meaning that the objections period is the final opportunity for citizens to influence the layout of the lines and the occupation of the livestock paths before the final resolution.
