Jerez upgrades the credit for the Lola Flores Museum to definitive status

The City Council of Jerez de la Frontera has finalized the credit modification T045/2026 of the municipal budget for the 2026 fiscal year, in the amount of €54,584.17, intended to increase the nominative transfer in favor of the Andrés de Ribera Foundation. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz number 166, dated August 28, 2026, after no claims were filed during the public information process.

The agreement was initially approved by the Municipal Plenary in an ordinary session held on July 24, 2026, and the announcement opening the public information process was inserted in the BOP of Cádiz on July 31, 2026. Once the period elapsed without any claim or suggestion being presented, and in application of article 177.2 in relation to 169.1 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries (TRHL), the initial approval agreement is understood to be automatically finalized, entering into force and producing full effects on the day following its publication in the BOP.

A transfer for the management of museums

The credit modification is structured through extraordinary credits and credit supplements, with the objective of meeting the needs derived from the assignment to the Andrés de Ribera Foundation of the management of the Lola Flores Museum I and II and the Nativity Scene Museum (Museo del Belén). This is a nominative transfer that consolidates the municipal funding of these cultural spaces in the city.

The announcement, signed by the mayor María José García-Pelayo Jurado on August 24, 2026, is made public for general knowledge in Jerez de la Frontera. With the publication in the provincial gazette, the agreement becomes final and produces full effects from the day following its insertion.

With this finalization, the City Council of Jerez consolidates the budgetary support for the management of the museum spaces dedicated to the figure of Lola Flores and the Nativity Scene, guaranteeing the continuity of cultural activity and its municipal funding for the 2026 fiscal year.
