Jerez de los Caballeros opens competition for three positions at the municipal market

The City Council of Jerez de los Caballeros has announced a public tender for the administrative concession of private use of public domain assets of the municipal market. The call stems from the agreement of the Local Government Board on September 4, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz (BOP) number 180, corresponding to Monday, September 21, 2026, under reference 3593/2026. Interested parties have 30 calendar days to submit their offers.

The announcement is framed within the Local Administration section, City Councils subsection, and is processed through a competitive procedure; that is, in competition among all proposals submitted. The call affects spaces in the municipal market located at Plaza de Santiago, s/n, identified with the cadastral reference 5239201PC9453N0001PJ, of urban class and public service use.

Four spaces open for tender

The object of the call consists of three stalls and one storage area of the municipal market, with a total surface area of 35.08 square meters:

• Stall number 2: 6.44 square meters.
• Stall number 3: 6.44 square meters.
• Stall number 4: 15.80 square meters.
• Storage area: 6.40 square meters.

The concession refers to the private use of public domain assets, a figure that requires a prior competitive procedure to ensure the compatibility of private exploitation with common use and the rights of third parties.

30-calendar-day deadline and opening of offers

The deadline for the submission of offers will be 30 calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP. Proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope, addressed to the City Council of Jerez de los Caballeros, indicating the file reference 1381/2026 on the exterior.

Submission can be made at the municipal offices at Plaza de la Alcazaba, 06380 Jerez de los Caballeros (Badajoz), Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 14:00 hours, or through the municipal electronic office. No offer received via a procedure that does not guarantee its secrecy until the opening act will be considered.

The opening act of the proposals will take place within 10 business days following the conclusion of the submission period.
