Jaraíz appoints José García Felipe as maintenance officer

The City Council of Jaraíz de la Vera has appointed José García Felipe as a career civil servant to fill the position of 1st class maintenance officer-driver, according to the Resolution of the Mayor-President dated August 20, 2026. The agreement, adopted once the selection process was concluded, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 162, dated August 25, 2026, with reference BOP-2026-4025.
The appointment is made public for the purposes of article 25.2 of the General Regulation for the Entry of Personnel into the Service of the General State Administration, approved by Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10, which regulates the filling of job positions and the professional promotion of civil servants.

The awarded position corresponds to the Special Administration scale, Special Services (Trades) subscale, with code F/20 and qualification group C2. The provision system was the open competition (turno libre) and the selection system was the competitive examination (oposición).

The selection process
The process is part of the Public Employment Offer published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 201, dated October 19, 2022. The regulatory bases were published in the BOP of Cáceres number 81, dated April 30, 2025, with its correction in number 87, dated May 9, 2025, and the call for applications in the Official State Gazette number 127, dated May 27, 2025.
The selected candidate, José García Felipe, with ID ending in 1981, passed the competitive examination tests and has been appointed as a career civil servant, thus consolidating his position on the municipal payroll.
Relevance for local public employment
With this appointment, the City Council of Jaraíz de la Vera closes a selection process initiated with the 2022 OEP, providing permanent staff for a trade position key to the maintenance and driving of municipal services. Publication in the official gazette guarantees the publicity and legal certainty of the act, in accordance with the regulations for entry into the public service.
