Jaraíz opens public information process to expropriate 171 square meters of green zone

The City Council of Jaraíz de la Vera has opened the public information process for the expropriation of 171 square meters of the property located at Avenida de la Constitución, number 13, lands that the municipal planning reserves for public open space EL-VA-30 and public roadways. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board in the session of September 24, 2026, and the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0205, corresponding to Monday, October 26, 2026, with official reference BOP-2026-5011. Owners and any interested party have fifteen business days to submit allegations.

The origin: a determination of the Municipal General Plan

The action derives from the execution of the determinations of the Municipal General Plan of Jaraíz de la Vera regarding the acquisition of land destined for public open spaces EL-VA-30 and public roadways. To make these effective, the City Council considers it necessary to expropriate part of the registered property number 1,932, registered in the Property Registry of Jarandilla de la Vera, with cadastral reference 5583110TK6358S0001BA.

The Local Government Board approved in its session of September 24, 2026, the Expropriation Project for this isolated action, as well as the list of affected assets, rights, and holders, in accordance with the documentation contained in the file. The procedure is processed under the protection of articles 18 and 19 of the Law of December 16, 1954, on Forced Expropriation, and the concordant provisions of its Regulations.

The City Council warns that this list corresponds to the registry documentation and the records incorporated into the file, without prejudice to any modifications that may be appropriate if new titles, successions, changes of ownership, or other relevant legal circumstances are proven.

Fifteen business days to file objections and consult the file

The public information period is fifteen business days, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the provincial bulletin. During this period, any person may submit the objections they deem appropriate and provide in writing the data that allow for the rectification of possible errors in the published list, as well as oppose, for reasons of substance or form, the need for occupation, indicating, where applicable, the reasons why the occupation of other assets or the acquisition of other rights should be considered preferential.

Objections shall be submitted to the General Registry of the City Council or through any of the means provided for in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, with reference to file number 819/2026. The file, including the Expropriation Project and the documentation on the delimitation of the land, may be consulted at the municipal offices at Plaza Mayor, number 1, and through the electronic office. The announcement is signed by the mayor-president, Luis Miguel Nuñez Romero, in Jaraíz de la Vera on October 21, 2026.

The processing directly affects the owners of the estate and the surroundings of Avenida de la Constitución, where the operation will allow for the creation of a green area and the expansion of the road network. The process opens the way for the holders to discuss the valuation of 27,344.51 euros and the need for occupation itself before the City Council continues with the expropriation procedure.
