Jaca opens the park-and-ride parking lot on Avda. Perimetral for public consultation

The Jaca City Council has granted initial approval to the works project for the development of a park-and-ride parking lot on Avda. Perimetral, with a total budget of 349,767.75 euros. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board in an ordinary session on October 7, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca (BOPH) No. 194, this Friday, October 9, 2026, on page 16. The announcement opens a 15-day period for the submission of claims against the project.

Approval by delegation and regulatory framework

The initial approval occurred through the delegation of powers granted via Mayoral Resolution No. 2023-2632, dated July 5, 2023, published in BOPH No. 130, dated July 11, 2023. The file is processed in accordance with Article 345.1 of Decree 347/2002, of November 19, of the Government of Aragon, which approves the Regulations on Assets, Activities, Services, and Works of Local Entities of Aragon.

The project is titled “PROJECT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PARK-AND-RIDE PARKING LOT ON AVDA. PERIMETRAL OF JACA (HUESCA)” and was drafted by the Municipal Technical Services. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Carlos Serrano Pérez, in Jaca, on October 7, 2026.

The economic breakdown of the project is as follows:

• Execution amount: 289,064.26 euros.
• VAT: 60,703.49 euros.
• Total project price: 349,767.75 euros.

Public exhibition and file consultation

The public information process extends for 15 days for the submission, if applicable, of claims. Interested parties may consult the project in person at the Urban Planning Service of the Jaca City Council, at Calle Mayor No. 24 in Jaca (Huesca), from 09:00 to 14:00 hours.

The announcement further specifies that if no claim is submitted during this period, the project will be definitively approved without the need for a subsequent agreement from the municipal body.

The action is part of the municipal commitment to organize access to the urban center through parking spaces on the periphery, a formula that the council itself includes in its mobility regulations to reduce traffic congestion in the center. The park-and-ride parking lot on Avda. Perimetral seeks to offer a parking alternative before entering the urban core, with a direct impact on daily mobility and visitor access to Jaca.
