Jaca appoints three new administrative assistants as career civil servants
Por FactBox Admin

The Jaca City Council has approved the appointment as career civil servants of María Luisa Ortega Otín, Natalia Gairín Abadías, and Begoña Gómez Gómez, the three candidates who passed the selection process for three Administrative Assistant positions. The decision was adopted through Mayoral Resolution no. 3180, dated October 2, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca (BOPH) no. 198, dated October 15, 2026, within the Local Administration section.
The announcement, signed by Mayor Carlos Serrano Pérez and processed by the municipal Secretariat under file 1767742Y and NIF P2217800H, occupies pages 132 and 133 of the gazette and bears announcement number 4538. The official text is concise: through the aforementioned Mayoral resolution, “the appointment as career civil servants is approved” in favor of the candidates who passed the selection process for three Administrative Assistant positions.
The BOPH is the official gazette of the Provincial Council of Huesca and constitutes the official means of publication for the acts of the local entities of the province; therefore, the insertion of the announcement provides the appointment with publicity and administrative effectiveness toward third parties. Thirteen days elapsed between the date of the resolution, October 2, and the date of its publication, October 15.
The three positions and their holders
The appointment is approved jointly for the three people who passed the selection process, in the order they appear in the published text:
- María Luisa Ortega Otín.
- Natalia Gairín Abadías.
- Begoña Gómez Gómez.
All three will occupy Administrative Assistant positions at the Jaca City Council as career civil servants, once the fulfillment of the requirements demanded in the call for applications has been accredited and the tests of the selection process have been passed.
Framework: scale, subscale, and effects of the appointment
The resolution places the three appointments within the General Administration Scale, Auxiliary-Administrative Assistants Subscale, the classification group corresponding to administrative support tasks and public service in local administration.
The status of career civil servant implies definitive incorporation into the municipal staff, unlike situations of interim or temporary labor personnel. The announcement is limited to approving the appointment and does not detail deadlines for taking office or specific assignments in the published text, matters which are notified to the interested parties through the ordinary channels of the Personnel Department.
The administrative file is identified by number 1767742Y, a detail that allows interested parties to locate the procedure at the Jaca City Council (calle Mayor 24, 22700 Jaca, Huesca).
Other recent appointments in the same city council
The publication of this resolution is added to other personnel actions of the Jaca City Council disseminated in the same weeks. BOPH no. 190, dated October 5, 2026, included the appointment of Jesús Piedrafita Susín as a career civil servant in a position as Urban Furniture Maintenance Officer, approved by Mayor’s Resolution no. 3141, dated September 29, 2026, in the Special Administration Scale, Trades Personnel Subscale.
The council also keeps other selection processes open, including those relating to Local Police positions, whose provisional lists of admitted and excluded candidates and summons to the qualifying tribunals were also published in the provincial bulletin during the month of September.
Impact for candidates and municipal staff
Resolution 3180 closes the selection process for three Administrative Assistant positions and converts the three candidates into career civil servants, with the effects this has on the structure of the municipal staff and on the organization of the administrative services of the Jaca City Council.
For candidates, the announcement confirms the pace of filling positions in the auxiliary scale within the Huesca local administration and serves as a reference for the time elapsed between the resolution of the process and its official publication. For municipal staff, it consolidates three positions in the Auxiliary-Administrative Assistants Subscale of the General Administration Scale, reinforcing the management and citizen service areas of the Jaca council.
