Jaca raises its budget modification of 1.04 million to definitive status

The Jaca City Council has finalized Budgetary Modification No. 5/2026, which grants extraordinary credits and credit supplements for a total amount of €1,044,777.90. The agreement, adopted by the Plenary of the Corporation, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 159, dated August 21, 2026, with official reference BOPH-2026-159013.

The modification was initially approved by the Plenary on July 21, 2026, and has been made final as no claims were filed during the public exhibition period, as stated in the announcement signed by the mayor, Carlos Serrano Pérez, dated August 20, 2026.

Expenditure Distribution

The file, processed by the Municipal Comptroller’s Office, is published summarized by chapters in compliance with Article 169.3 of the Recast Text of the Local Treasuries Law, to which Article 177.2 of the same regulation refers. The expenditure budget is divided between current and capital operations:

• Chapter 2 (Current expenditure on goods and services): €351,477.90
• Chapter 6 (Real investments): €693,300.00
• Total expenditure budget: €1,044,777.90

Financing of the Operation

The revenue budget is balanced through a single capital operations item:

• Chapter 8 (Financial assets): €1,044,777.90
• Total revenue budget: €1,044,777.90

The majority of the funds, €693,300, are directed toward real investments, which directly affects the execution of municipal works and services in the city, while the remainder is allocated to current expenditure on goods and services.

Processing and Publication

The announcement, electronically signed by Mayor Carlos Serrano Pérez, is inserted in the Local Administration section of the gazette, within the City Councils section, and includes the summary of the file by chapters. The official publication fulfills the public information procedure required by local treasury regulations.

With this final approval, the Jaca City Council has the necessary resources to carry out the actions planned for the 2026 fiscal year, strengthening its investment capacity at a time when the execution of works and the provision of municipal services are the focus of the corporation’s agenda.
