Jávea distributes 8,669 consumption vouchers worth 433,483 euros for local commerce

The Jávea City Council has announced the “Bons Consum Xàbia 2026” trade promotion campaign, endowed with 433,483.00 euros and 8,669 vouchers with a nominal value of 75 euros each. The Mayoral agreement was adopted on October 6, 2026, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP) No. 194, dated October 13, 2026, within section III. Local Administration (official reference: 2026_007779).

The call is supported by articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and is identified in the National Subsidies Database with the code BDNS 934143. Amount and operation of the vouchers

The Jávea City Council, through the Department of Economic Dynamization and with a subsidy from the Provincial Council of Alicante, makes a total of 8,669 purse-card vouchers available to the public. The economic breakdown of each voucher is as follows:

• Nominal value of each voucher: 75.00 euros.
• Contribution from the consumer: 25.00 euros.
• Direct contribution from the Jávea City Council: 50.00 euros.
• Global amount of the campaign: 433,483.00 euros.
• Limit per person: a single voucher.
• Budgetary application to be charged for the vouchers and management expenses: 4311 48003.

Who can participate

Natural persons of legal age registered in the municipality of Xàbia who acquire the vouchers through the means and channels established in the rules may benefit from the campaign. The scope of application is limited to the municipal district of Xàbia, such that all commercial establishments and local service providers that meet the participation conditions and are located in the municipality may join.

The acquisition of the purse-card voucher is carried out electronically through the website enabled for this purpose, www.bonsconsum.xabia.es, where an appointment is also requested for its collection at the designated municipal offices.

Purchase and redemption deadlines

The campaign calendar is established in the Mayoral agreement:

• Start of voucher purchase: the date indicated on the website enabled for the campaign.
• End of purchase: upon exhaustion of the total vouchers issued and, at the latest, November 25, 2026.
• Last day of use in participating establishments: November 30, 2026.
• Vouchers not redeemed within the deadline: lose their validity without the right to compensation for the beneficiary.

Purpose of the campaign

The purse voucher bonds aim to revitalize the economic activity of Xàbia, stimulating consumption by promoting purchases and physical spending by citizens in the municipality’s shops and service establishments. The action seeks to support small and medium-sized enterprises and traditional trade, which are most in need of public support due to the difficulties of adapting to current market circumstances. The agreement is signed by the mayor, Rosa Vicenta Cardona Vives.

The measure injects half a million euros of consumption into the commercial fabric of Xàbia in the midst of the pre-Christmas campaign, with a direct effect on household economies: each registered resident can purchase 75 euros of spending for 25 euros. For the participating businesses, it means attracting local clientele with a discount fully financed by municipal and provincial funds, at no cost to the establishment.
