ITP grants performance-based allocations to eleven public CITE projects

The Production Technology Institute (ITP) has approved the granting of performance-based allocations to eleven projects from public Productive Innovation and Technology Transfer Centers (CITE) and Technical Units. The decision is formalized through Executive Resolution No. 000162-2026-ITP/DE, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on September 3, 2026.

The ITP, a public body attached to the Ministry of Production, allocates these resources to finance innovation and technology transfer for the benefit of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The measure is part of the Second Call for the Technological Extension Project (PET) Component of the Performance Agreement Program for the Strategic Strengthening of Technological Services (CdD-FEST), funded by the Entrepreneurial MSME Fund. Together, the eleven allocations total approximately S/ 3.08 million.

Eleven funded projects

The selected projects cover sectors such as textiles, agro-industry, fishing, aquaculture, leather, and footwear, with durations ranging from six to twelve months:

• CITEtextil Camélidos Huancavelica — strengthening of the alpaca textile value chain (S/ 213,627.78; 6 months).
• CITEagroindustrial Oxapampa — technological extension in coffee, cocoa, and fruits (S/ 218,392.22; 6 months).
• CITEagroindustrial Moquegua — valorization of agro-industrial waste through circular economy (S/ 300,000.00; 12 months).
• CITEagroindustrial Chavimochic — agri-food innovation in dehydrated products and beverages (S/ 300,000.00; 12 months).
• CITEpesquero Ilo — added value of hydrobiological resources and circular utilization of by-products (S/ 300,000.00; 12 months).
• CITEproductivo Madre de Dios — transfer of the technological package for the polyculture of Amazonian fish (S/ 300,000.00; 12 months).
• CITEpesquero Acuícola y Agroindustrial Callao — adoption of alternative packaging in the canning industry (S/ 248,648.33; 12 months).
• CITEacuícola Puno — productive management software for trout farming (S/ 300,000.00; 12 months).
• CITEagroindustrial Huallaga — quality improvement and transformation of coffee, cocoa, and Amazonian fruits (S/ 300,000.00; 12 months).
• Unidad Técnica Cuero y Calzado Junín — adoption of transformation and design technologies for MSEs (S/ 299,760.00; 12 months).
• Unidad Técnica Agroindustrial Lambayeque — Kaizen methodology in digitalization and green economy (S/ 299,488.89; 12 months).

Regulatory framework

The resolution is based on Law No. 30230, amended by Urgency Decree No. 013-2020, which authorizes the ITP to grant subsidies to accredited public and private CITEs charged to its institutional budget. In the case of public CITEs, the subsidy is materialized through budget allocations that respect the criteria of the performance agreements. The framework is completed by Legislative Decree No. 1228, on Productive Innovation and Technology Transfer Centers, and Ministerial Resolution No. 300-2022-PRODUCE, which approved the Operating Regulations of the CdD-FEST Program.

Impact for MSMEs

With these resources, public CITEs will strengthen their technical assistance services, laboratory tests, and technology transfer, improving the productivity and competitiveness of MSMEs in regions such as Huancavelica, Pasco, Moquegua, La Libertad, Madre de Dios, Callao, Puno, Huánuco, Junín, and Lambayeque. The measure seeks to promote productive diversification and market access, in line with the objectives of the MSME Entrepreneur Fund.
