IPEX convoca ayudas de 2.240 euros para la misión comercial a Méjico

The Castilla-La Mancha Foreign Promotion Institute (IPEX) has announced grants for companies, freelancers, clusters, and cooperatives of consumer goods, services, and contracts to participate in the direct trade mission to Mexico 2027, which will take place from February 22 to 25, 2027. The call is approved by the resolution of October 15, 2026, by the director of IPEX, Paloma Sánchez Garrido, and is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 202, dated October 21, 2026, with the official reference 2026/7582 and identification number BDNS 935676.

The call is supported by Order 152/2022, of July 29, of the Regional Ministry of Economy, Business and Employment, which establishes the regulatory bases for aid for grouped participation in internationalization actions of IPEX, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 150, dated August 5, 2022. The procedure is processed under a competitive bidding regime and the aid is de minimis in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 2023/2831 of December 13, 2023, with a cumulative limit of 300,000 euros per company in any three-year period.

As this is an early processing call, the aid is subject to the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in 2027, charged to the IPEX budget for the 2027 financial year, program 751B, item 47573, PEP OOAA/2000000212.

Seven places and 15,680 euros in credit

The maximum number of beneficiaries is seven companies and the maximum amount of credit allocated to the call amounts to 15,680.00 euros. The aid is calculated based on two concepts, with a percentage of 80% in both cases:

  • Meeting agenda consultancy: maximum eligible cost of 1,200.00 euros and aid of 960.00 euros.
  • Travel for one person: maximum eligible cost of 1,600.00 euros and aid of 1,280.00 euros.
  • Total per company: 2,800.00 euros of eligible cost and 2,240.00 euros of aid from IPEX.

The total amount may be increased by up to an additional 40% if the available credit increases before the award, without a new call or reopening of the deadline. Furthermore, 30% of the credit is reserved for applicants who carry out their activity in sparsely populated areas or areas at risk of depopulation, in accordance with the Agreement of October 19, 2021, of the Governing Council and article 22.1 of Law 2/2021, of May 7.

Deadline until December 10 and 100-point scale

The application period runs from the day following the publication of the call until December 10, 2026, via an electronic form with an electronic signature on the electronic office of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha. The maximum period for resolution and notification is three months, with negative administrative silence, and the justification must be submitted in the month following the completion of the action.

The evaluation criteria total a maximum of 100 points:

  • Export department: 15 points if outsourced and 30 if in-house.
  • Multilingual website: 15 points for Spanish and English and 30 for three or more languages.
  • Previous editions of the action: 10 points for more than three, 20 for one to three, and 30 if there has never been participation.
  • Activity in priority areas of Law 5/2017, of November 30: 10 points.

Eligible beneficiaries may include companies, natural persons registered in the RETA, clusters, cooperatives, joint ventures, and for-profit business groupings, as well as management bodies for protected geographical indications and designations of origin. Foundations, public companies and bodies, and public administrations are excluded.

Agenda in Mexico City, Cancún, and Monterrey

The meeting agendas will be prepared by an internationalization consultancy based in Mexico City, which will advise companies on adapting their offer prior to the mission. The action covers consumer goods (furniture, decoration, home), services (engineering, architecture, renewables, education, tourism), and products for the contract channel (doors, ceramics, furniture, lighting, home automation).

Meetings will be held in Mexico City on February 22 and 23 and, on the 24th and 25th, in Cancún or Riviera Maya for contract companies and in Monterrey or another city for the remaining sectors. The final agenda will be delivered no later than February 18. The file is processed under procedure number 036643 and code SIACI KMAE.

IPEX justifies the action based on the size of the Mexican market, which in 2025 remained the second largest economy in Latin America, with GDP growth of 0.7% and OECD forecasts of 0.8% in 2026 and 1.8% in 2027. The organization also highlights the tourism boost: 98.2 million international visitors in 2025, an increase of 13.6%, and revenues of 34.992 billion dollars, an increase of 6.2%.

Impact for the Manchego exporting fabric

The call offers SMEs and freelancers from Castilla-La Mancha a low-cost entry point into a large-scale market with strong demand for hotel contracting and mid-to-high segment consumer goods. With only seven spots available and a deadline closing on December 10, 2026, the selection process will be competitive and will reward companies with their own exporting structure and no prior experience in this mission.
