Interior appoints a legal expert to the Mossos support scale

The Department of Interior and Public Safety has appointed a career civil servant in the category of legal specialist within the support scale of the Mossos d’Esquadra Corps. The appointment is formalized through Resolution ISP/3243/2026, of September 14, published in DOGC no. 9752 on September 16, 2026, with the reference CVE-DOGC-A-26257049-2026. The position, corresponding to call 003/25, is provisionally assigned to the General Directorate of Police, in Barcelona.

The resolution closes the selection process opened by Resolution ISP/2415/2025, of June 25, published in DOGC no. 9444 on July 1, 2025, which called for the open entry and competitive examination system for the positions of specialist and technician within the corps’ support scale. Among these processes was that of the legal specialist, identified as call 003/25.

The appointment is framed within additional provision 30a of Legislative Decree 1/1997, of October 31, and is charged to the public employment offer approved by the Government for 2026 through Agreement GOV/61/2026, of March 24 (DOGC no. 9633 of March 26, 2026). This measure allows for the filling of existing vacancies in the category once the list of approved candidates has been exhausted.

Deadlines and means of appeal

Taking possession of the awarded position: one month from the day after publication in the DOGC.
Appeal for reversal: one month before the same body, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015 and article 77 of Law 26/2010.
Contentious-administrative appeal: two months, according to article 46 of Law 29/1998.

The resolution ends the administrative route and is signed by Joana Ricardo Hoyos, general secretary of the department, by delegation of powers established in Resolution INT/81/2011, of January 18. The text invokes articles 17, 18, and 28 of Law 10/1994, of July 11, of the Police of the Generalitat – Mossos d’Esquadra, and Decree 45/1999, of February 23, regulating the workstations of specialists and technicians of the corps.
