Por FactBox Admin

The Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Institute (INGEMMET) has arranged to publish the list of 512 mining concession titles whose titles were approved in September 2026, through Presidential Resolution No. 000275-2026-INGEMMET/PE, signed in San Borja on October 7, 2026. The list was disseminated in the Official Bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano on Thursday, October 15, 2026, in the Legal Norms section and in the Bulletin Section, in compliance with Article 124 of the General Mining Law.
The legal framework of the monthly publication
The publication responds to a regulatory obligation: Article 124 of the Single Ordered Text of the General Mining Law, approved by Supreme Decree No. 014-92-EM, orders the monthly publication in El Peruano of the list of mining concession titles approved in the previous month. The resolution is further based on Article 38 of the Mining Procedures Regulations, approved by Supreme Decree No. 020-2020-EM, and on the Organization and Functions Regulations of INGEMMET, approved by Supreme Decree No. 035-2007-EM, with the endorsement of the Directorate of Mining Concessions.
The process began with Report No. 000094-2026-INGEMMET/DCM, dated October 6, 2026. The first article of the resolution specifies that the resolutive text is published in the Legal Norms section and that the list of the 512 titles is an integral part of the act, in the Bulletin Section; the second article provides for its dissemination on the institutional portal of INGEMMET (www.gob.pe/ingemmet). The document bears the signature of Walther Ricardo León Lecaros, Executive President (a).
What the published list contains
The list is presented with a uniform technical nomenclature that allows for the identification of each mining right:
- Name of the concession and unique code.
- Name of the holder of the mining right.
- Number and date of the chief resolution that approved the title.
- Cadastral zone and UTM WGS 84 coordinates of the vertices, expressed in kilometers.
- Mining rights to be respected, with name and code, or an indication that none exist.
The titles were granted under Legislative Decree No. 708 and correspond to zones 17, 18, and 19, with the presence of departments such as Amazonas, Áncash, Apurímac, Arequipa, Cajamarca, and Cusco, among others.
Holders with the greatest presence on the list
Among the holders appearing in the list, companies and natural persons of different sizes stand out:
- Minera Barrick Perú S.A., with dozens of concessions from the Tartaro Norte MBP series.
- Anglo American Perú S.A., with concessions from the Munay series.
- Minsur S.A., with rights from the Aura series.
- Sociedad Minera Vicus Exploraciones S.A.C., with the Sora series.
- Lowell Copper S.A.C., with the Paco Orco series.
- Malpol E.I.R.L., with the Ponderosa Oro series.
- Rio Tinto Mining and Exploration S.A.C., with Allpanina.
- Black Swan Minerals S.A.C., with Swan.
- Consultores Group Perú JH S.A.C., Maquiner Servicios Generales S.A.C., DLP Resources Perú S.A.C. and Compañía Minera Centro Andes Mining Company S.A.C., among others.
- Individual holders such as Caprile Saint-Pere Eduardo André Hervé, Cuenca Ojeda José Andrés and Pizarro Machaca Amanda.
Comparison with the previous month
The figure of 512 titles approved in September 2026 contrasts with the immediately preceding publication: on September 15, 2026, INGEMMET released the list of 287 mining concession titles approved in August, through Presidential Resolution No. 000248-2026-INGEMMET/PE. The jump from 287 to 512 titles reflects a significant increase in the volume of titles registered in the mining registry in a single month.
The relevance of this publication is twofold. For mining companies, the list confirms the formal approval of their titles and the mining rights they must respect. For communities, regional governments, and other territorial actors, the list published in the Official Bulletin constitutes the verifiable public record of which concessions were approved, who the holder is, and in which cadastral zone they are located—key information for territorial planning and for monitoring mining activity in the country.
