INGEMMET publica 287 títulos de concesión minera aprobados en agosto

The Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Institute (INGEMMET) has arranged to publish the list of 287 mining concession titles whose titles were approved during the month of August 2026. The measure is formalized through Res. N° 000248-2026-INGEMMET/PE, signed by the Acting Executive President Walther Ricardo León Lecaros and dated in San Borja on September 8, 2026, and is disseminated in the Legal Norms section of the Official Gazette El Peruano.

The publication responds to the provisions of Article 124 of the Single Ordered Text of the General Mining Law, approved by Supreme Decree N° 014-92-EM, which mandates the monthly dissemination in the official gazette of the list of mining concession titles approved in the previous month. It is also issued in accordance with Article 38 of the Mining Procedures Regulations, approved by Supreme Decree N° 020-2020-EM, and the Organization and Functions Regulations of INGEMMET.

Scope of the published list

The resolution orders the publication of this norm in the Legal Norms section and the list of the 287 titles in the Bulletin section, as well as its dissemination on the INGEMMET institutional portal (www.gob.pe/ingemmet). The list details, for each concession, the name, code, holder, number and date of the chief resolution, the zone, the UTM WGS 84 coordinates of the vertices, and the mining rights to be respected.

Among the holders appearing in the list, major operators in the sector stand out:

  • Teck Perú S.A. (Ikana 02 and Ikana 05 concessions)
  • Minera Peñoles de Perú S.A. (Chacoche P3 and Chacoche P15)
  • Anglo American Perú S.A. (Munay 12, 15, 16, and 19)
  • Minera Barrick Perú S.A. (Tartaro Norte MBP 12, 13, and 45)
  • BHP World Exploration Inc. Peru Branch (Gaucha 58)
  • Compañía Minera Ares S.A.C. (HM028 and HM090)

Territorial Distribution

The granted concessions are located in various regions of the country, including Amazonas, Áncash, Apurímac, and Arequipa, reflecting the geographical breadth of Peruvian mining activity. The list includes legal entities as well as natural persons and limited liability mining companies, and considers pre-existing mining rights to be respected in each area.

Relevance for the Sector

The monthly publication of mining concession titles provides legal certainty and transparency to the titling process, a key input for planning investment in exploration and exploitation. By making public the names of the holders, the codes, and the coordinates of each concession, INGEMMET facilitates the monitoring of the mining cadastre and the verification of rights by operators and citizens, in a context where mining remains one of the engines of the Peruvian economy.
