Infrastructure orders the payment of fair prices for land for the Ribeira bypass
Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Service of A Coruña of the Galician Infrastructure Agency has agreed to carry out the payment of the fair prices set by the jury derived from the expropriation of assets and rights affected by the Ribeira bypass, section I, code AC/18/074.01.1, in the municipality of Ribeira. The resolution, signed on October 23, 2026, was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 207, of October 29, 2026, in the Autonomous Administration section, under announcement number 2026/6952. The text bears the signature of the head of the provincial service, Felipe de la Vega Gándaras.
The decision is issued in compliance with article 49 of the Forced Expropriation Regulations of April 26, 1957 and under the competence delegated by the Order of September 7, 2017 on the delegation of powers to the technical general secretary and other public bodies and entities attached to the department, published in the Official Gazette of Galicia number 179 of September 20, 2017. The issuing body depends on the Department of Housing and Infrastructure Planning of the Xunta de Galicia.
The announcement refers to the land registry displayed on the notice board of the Ribeira City Council, without including the nominal list of owners or the individual amounts of each file in the text itself. The amount corresponding to each owner results from the settlement of their own file.
Payment by transfer and deduction of the prior deposit
Payment will be made by bank transfer to the person appearing as the owner in the expropriation file. When a change in the ownership of the property registered in the file occurs, it will be necessary to provide documentation proving the transfer and the national identity document of the new owner.
The final amount to be received does not coincide with the fair price fixed by the jury: the amount corresponding to the prior deposit already consigned is deducted from the total amount. The result of this operation is what is transferred to the owner.
Ten business days and a bank certificate with IBAN and BIC
In order for the payment to be executed, the owners of the affected assets and rights must present:
- A certificate of ownership of the bank account, with the full account number, including IBAN and BIC.
- All owners of the expropriated asset or right must appear jointly as account holders.
- The deadline to submit this documentation is ten (10) business days counting from the publication of the resolution in the provincial gazette.
If the certificate is not provided after this period, if the transfer to the owners cannot be carried out, or if the ownership of the assets and rights is not sufficiently proven, the amount of the fair price will be deposited in the General Deposit Fund (Caixa Xeral de Depósitos).
Registries, postal mail or electronic office
The required documentation can be submitted through any of these channels:
- At the registration assistance offices.
- At postal offices addressed to the Provincial Service of the Galician Infrastructure Agency of A Coruña, at Vicente Ferrer street, 2, 8th floor, 15071 A Coruña.
- Electronically, through the address https://sede.xunta.gal/detalleprocedemento?codtram=PR004A.
- By any of the means provided for in article 16 of Law 39/2015, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
The publication of this resolution opens the material collection phase of an expropriation procedure that until now was being resolved at the valuation stage. For those affected by the Ribeira bypass, the procedure has an immediate practical consequence: without the bank certificate in order, with the complete IBAN and BIC and with all co-owners as holders, the money will not reach the account and will remain held in the General Deposit Fund, which delays the effective collection until its regularization.
