Generalitat Infrastructures announces European funding for 49 contracts

Infraestructures de la Generalitat de Catalunya, SAU has published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) no. 9744, of September 3, 2026, a communication announcement regarding the financing of 49 contracts through European Union funds via the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union-NextGenerationEU. The communication, signed by the Director of Contracting of Infraestructures, Virginia de León Gojin, is dated Barcelona, August 27, 2026, and is recorded under the official reference CVE-DOGC-A-26239020-2026.

The announcement complies with Article 9, section 3.b of Order HFP/1030/2021, of September 29, which configures the management system of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, regarding the communication requirements for tenders in this area. The measure is framed within the Resolution of the Department of Education and Vocational Training of August 27, 2026, which determines the allocation of funding from the Recovery and Resilience Facility for certain actions carried out within the framework of assignments to own means at Infraestructures de la Generalitat de Catalunya, SAU.

Contracts with European funding

The public company reports that the contracts listed in the annex of the announcement have European funding through the “Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. Funded by the European Union-Next Generation EU”, a circumstance that had not been initially indicated in the respective tender, award, and formalization announcements published on the Public Procurement Services Platform (PCSP).

All files are assigned to investment component C13.I13 of the Plan. Most correspond to new construction, expansion, and renovation works for educational facilities, with publication dates for tender, award, and formalization announcements ranging from 2021 to 2026.

Works for institutes and schools

Among the contracts, new construction works for institutes stand out, such as the Institut de Roda de Berà (Tarragonès, key INT-17269) or the Institut Vallcarca in Barcelona (keys INB-19227 and INB-19227-L2), as well as technical assistance service contracts for the drafting of projects and execution of works for schools such as Escola Sentmenat (Vallès Occidental) or Escola Pere Lliscart in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

Numerous RAM (renovation, adaptation, and improvement) work files from 2023 and 2024 are also included, distributed across the territorial education services throughout Catalonia:

• Barcelona-comarques: Rosselló Porcell School and Joan Salvat Papasseit School (Santa Coloma de Gramenet), La Llauna Institute (Badalona).
• Vallès Occidental: institutes and schools of Sabadell, Terrassa, Barberà del Vallès, Montcada i Reixac, Badia del Vallès, Santa Perpètua de Mogoda and Sant Cugat del Vallès.
• Central Catalonia: Sant Joan School (Berga), Josep Maria Xandri School Institute (Sant Pere de Torelló), Sesmon d’Oló School (Santa Maria d’Oló).
• Girona, Lleida, Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre: Doctor Ramon Suriñach Special Education Center (Ripoll), Lladonosa Institute (Lleida), Constantí Institute, Gaudí Institute (Reus), el Temple School (Tortosa).
• Alt Pirineu i Aran, Penedès, Maresme-Vallès Oriental and Baix Llobregat: La Closa Institute (Esterri d’Àneu), Aran Institute (Vielha e Mijaran), Eugeni d’Ors Institute (Vilafranca del Penedès), Pla de l’Avellà School Institute (Cabrera de Mar), among others.

In the framework agreements, the date of the award notice coincides with the date of formalization, as they are perfected upon award.

Transparency in public procurement

With this publication, the Generalitat regularizes the information regarding the European origin of the funding for these files, which had not been indicated in the original PCSP notices. This communication allows economic operators and the public to know the impact of NextGenerationEU funds on the construction and improvement of educational facilities in Catalonia, and reinforces the traceability and control of expenditure financed with resources from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
