Por FactBox Admin

The Ministry of Industry and Tourism has published the 2026 call for Line 2 of the Auto+ Program, aimed at subsidizing the purchase of electric and electrified vehicles by companies and self-employed professionals. The summary appears in the Official State Gazette (BOE) no. 236, of September 24, 2026, with reference BOE-B-2026-30841 and identification number BDNS 931088. The application period will begin on October 1, 2026, at 10:00 and end on December 31, 2026, at 14:00, mainland time.
The call is based on Royal Decree 609/2026, of July 22, which regulates the direct granting of aid for the purchase of electric and electrified vehicles (Auto+ Program) and constitutes its regulatory bases. This regulation was issued in development of Royal Decree-Law 7/2026, of March 20, which approves the Comprehensive Response Plan to the Crisis in the Middle East, and organizes the program into two lines: Line 1, for natural persons without economic activity, and Line 2, for those who do have economic activity. The call for Line 1 was published on August 4, 2026, with 350,000,000 euros, while the program remains in effect until December 31, 2030.
Who can apply for the aid
- All types of companies with their own legal personality, according to the definition of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises of the Commission Recommendation of May 6, 2003 (2003/361/EC).
- Natural persons who carry out economic activities, registered in the Census of Entrepreneurs, Professionals, and Withholding Agents of the State Tax Administration Agency or an equivalent provincial census.
- Dealerships or points of sale whose heading in the first section of the Tax on Economic Activities is 615.1 or 654.1 are excluded.
- Beneficiaries must be up to date with their tax and Social Security obligations and have no pending repayments to the General State Administration.
Budget and amounts per vehicle
The call has a maximum total amount of 50,000,000 euros in the form of subsidies, charged to the General State Budgets of 2026. The breakdown is as follows:
- Private companies: 42,000,000 euros, charged to budget application 20.09.422B.774.
- Self-employed professionals: 8,000,000 euros, charged to budget application 20.09.422B.776.
The maximum aid amounts per vehicle are listed in Annex III of Royal Decree 609/2026 and vary according to the type of applicant and vehicle:
- Self-employed and micro-enterprises: 6,000 euros for M1 passenger cars, 7,500 for N1, 1,100 for L3e, L4e and L5e, and 1,500 for L6e and L7e.
- Other companies: 4,500 euros for M1, 5,000 for N1, 1,100 for L3e, L4e and L5e, and 1,500 for L6e and L7e.
- Self-employed and micro-enterprises co-financed by the Social Climate Fund: 7,000 euros for M1, 12,000 for N1, and 2,000 for L categories.
The aid is calculated cumulatively based on three criteria—electric, economic, and European—and is limited to ten vehicles per beneficiary for companies and three for natural persons with economic activity.
Deadlines, processing, and purchase requirements
The grant is direct and based on the order of submission of applications until the budget is exhausted, with a subsequent waiting list. Requests are processed through the electronic management system of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, and can be submitted by the interested party or through a representative, a role that can be assumed by dealerships, points of sale, and renting or financial leasing companies.
Among the required conditions, the invoice must certify a discount of at least 1,000 euros in the sale price, excluding taxes, for new vehicles in categories M1 and N1. The maximum price of the vehicle is 45,000 euros for M1 passenger cars of up to seven seats and 10,000 euros for L3e, L4e, and L5e. The extract was signed in Madrid on September 22, 2026, by the Secretary of State for Industry, Jordi García Brustenga, by delegation of the Minister of Industry and Tourism (Order ITU/296/2025, of March 21).
The call comes after Line 1 exhausted its calendar for individuals and completes the annual rollout of the program, so that the self-employed, micro-enterprises, and professional fleets now have a closed framework of aid to renew their vehicles toward ZERO-label models before the end of the fiscal year.
