IMAE archives the Cultura es Vida music grant due to insufficient rectification

The Municipal Institute of Performing Arts Gran Teatro de Córdoba (IMAE) has declared the withdrawal, the termination of the procedure, and the archiving of the grant application submitted by Cultura es Vida, S.L. for the contemporary music and culture program Otoño Córdoba 2026, due to insufficient correction of the expressly requested documentation. The decision was adopted by Decree of the Acting Presidency of the IMAE number 2026/17523, dated October 9, 2026, signed by María Evarista Contador Contador, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba on Friday, October 16, 2026 (BOP-A-2026-3476).

The file and the affected entity

The agreement is based on Article 13 of the regulatory bases and on Articles 45.1.b) and 46 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. The cause invoked is the insufficient correction of the expressly requested budgetary and co-production documentation.

Background: from the request to the archiving

The origin of the file lies in the announcement of correction and provisional exclusion published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba on September 14, 2026 (No. 177, pp. 13133-13134, BOP-A-2026-3110). The IMAE then requested five applicants to correct their documentation, with a maximum and non-extendable period of ten business days from the day following the publication.

In the same announcement, a second application from Cultura es Vida, S.L. (file 6698_GE01_2026_01226, Cultural and Musical Program Otoño 2025 Córdoba) appeared with a provisional proposal for exclusion, which was not definitive and subject to the appeals process.

Succinct publication and electronic notification

Decree 2026/17523 complements its third section and orders that the publication be carried out by means of a succinct indication, under article 46 of Law 39/2015, reserving access to the full reasoning for the interested entity and those who prove legal standing. The complete resolution, including its appeals section, will be made available to the entity via electronic notification on the electronic office of the Córdoba City Council (https://sede.cordoba.es).

• Deadline for accessing the notification: ten calendar days from the date it is made available.
• If it is not accessed within that period, the notification will be understood as rejected, in accordance with article 43 of Law 39/2015.
• The succinct publication does not, by itself, initiate the recipient’s appeal deadlines.

Appeals and framework of the call

The resolution ends the administrative route, in accordance with article 39 of the IMAE Statutes, and an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Presidency of the IMAE within one month. The IMAE grant call for cultural festivals and fairs 2026 was approved by the Governing Council on July 29, 2026, and published on August 12, 2026 (No. 155, page 12284, BOP-A-2026-2796), with a total amount of 1,400,000.00 euros: 1,200,000.00 euros for other grants to private companies and 200,000.00 euros for non-profit entities.

The filing leaves Cultura es Vida, S.L. out of the awarding procedure and deprives the Otoño Córdoba 2026 program of the requested financial support, in a call endowed with 1.4 million euros and aimed at the city’s network of cultural festivals and fairs. The case further illustrates the documentary rigor required of entities applying for competitive grants: failure to comply with the request for correction, even partially, leads directly to withdrawal and the archiving of the file.
