Ibros definitively approves its 2026 Municipal Budget of 3.6 million

The Ibros City Council (Jaén) has definitively approved the General Budget for the 2026 fiscal year, for a total amount of 3,610,798.80 euros, along with the personnel roster comprising all job positions reserved for civil servants, contractual staff, and temporary staff. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén, number 180, dated September 16, 2026, via the edict with reference 2026/4329.
The agreement was initially adopted by the Municipal Plenary on August 20, 2026. As no claims were filed during the public exhibition period, the budget is considered definitively approved, in accordance with the provisions of article 169-3 of Law 2/2004, of March 5, regulating Local Treasuries. The edict is signed by the mayor, Juan Matías Reyes Mendoza, dated September 15, 2026.
A balanced budget between income and expenditure
The document presents a balanced budget, with identical figures in the income and expenditure chapters. The main resources come from current transfers and direct taxes.

Personnel roster and vacant positions

Among the civil service personnel are the Secretary-Intervention (group A1), a management technician (A2), an administrative assistant (C1), three assistants (C2), and a medium-level technician (A2), in addition to three local police officers (C1) and one local police assistant (E).
Permanent contractual staff include a sociocultural promoter for Guadalinfo, a library assistant, a maintenance and electricity technician, a truck driver-operator, a tradesman, two part-time sports instructors, two multi-service laborers, a municipal premises cleaner, and a gravedigger-maintainer.
The declared vacant positions are as follows:
- Administrative Assistant (C2): 2 vacancies
- Local Police Officer (C1): 1 vacancy
- Truck Driver-Officer (C2): 1 vacancy
- Multi-Service Laborer (E): 1 vacancy
- Gravedigger-Maintainer (E): 1 vacancy
Appeals against approval
A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against the final approval of the budget, in the form and within the time limits established by the regulations of said jurisdiction, in accordance with the provisions of number 1 of article 171 of Law 2/2004, of March 5.
With this budget, the municipality of Ibros defines its investments and the provision of public services for the 2026 fiscal year, guaranteeing financial balance and the filling of its staff positions, which is key for the ordinary functioning of the town council and for the execution of the projects planned in the municipality.
