HZMO has determined the current and minimum pension value as of July 2026.

The Management Board of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) has determined new pension values applicable from July 1, 2026. The current pension value for one personal point is 15.64 EUR, and the lowest pension for one year of pension service is 16.58 EUR. The decisions were published in the Official Gazette (Narodne novine), number 95, dated August 28, 2026, under numbers 1167 and 1168.

The decisions were made by the Management Board of HZMO at a session held on August 26, 2026, and were signed by the President of the Management Board, Melita Čičak. The legal basis is Article 91, paragraph 5 of the Pension Insurance Act (“Official Gazette”, no. 96/25) and Article 22, points 2 and 3 of the Statute of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (“Official Gazette”, no. 155/25).

Current Pension Value

By the Decision on the current pension value from July 1, 2026 (number 1167), it was determined that the current pension value for one personal point is 15.64 EUR. This value is applied for the determination of pensions and the adjustment of pensions and other rights from pension insurance.

The decision enters into force on the eighth day from the date of publication in the “Official Gazette” and is applied from July 1, 2026. The official document designation is Class: 041-01/26-02/10, Ref. No: 341-99-01/01-26-3, Zagreb, August 26, 2026.

Lowest Pension per Year of Service

By the Decision on the lowest pension for one year of pension service from July 1, 2026 (number 1168), it was determined that the lowest pension for one year of pension service is 16.58 EUR. The lowest pension is determined based on the total number of years of pension service, applying the base factor from Article 83 and the pension factor from Article 85 of the Pension Insurance Act.

The decision also enters into force on the eighth day from the date of publication in the “Official Gazette” and is applied from July 1, 2026. The official document designation is Class: 041-01/26-02/10, Ref. No: 341-99-01/01-26-4, Zagreb, August 26, 2026.

The new values directly affect the amount of pensions for all retirees in Croatia, as pensions and other rights from pension insurance are calculated and adjusted based on the current pension value, while the lowest pension guarantees a minimum amount for each year of service. The adjustment is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Pension Insurance Act, and the new values are valid retroactively from July 1, 2026.
