Huesca submits the modification of the Escriche Sports City to public consultation

The Huesca City Council has opened for public review modification no. 1 of the Basic and Execution Project for a services building and multi-sport field at the José María Escriche Sports City, with a global tender budget of 2,532,758.67 euros (VAT included). The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 175, dated September 14, 2026, with reference BOPH-2026-175018, and opens a one-month period for the submission of claims.

The decision, signed on September 10, 2026, by Mayor Lorena Orduna Pons, is adopted in compliance with article 345.1 of the Regulations on Assets, Activities, Services, and Works of Local Entities of Aragon, which requires the project to be exposed for public consultation before its final approval.

The project and its budget

The document, drafted in August 2026 by the team composed of Mr. Pedro Ayesta, Mr. José Francisco Bergua, and Mr. Javier Gavín, is promoted by the Huesca City Council itself. The material execution budget amounts to 1,758,982.33 euros, distributed between the two planned actions:

• Services building: 1,231,304.51 euros for material execution and 1,772,955.37 euros for tender.
• Multi-sport field: 527,677.82 euros for material execution and 759,803.30 euros for tender.

During the one-month period, interested parties may examine the modification documents through the channels enabled by the council:

• The Huesca City Council website.
• The Notice Board of the municipal electronic headquarters.
• The City Council’s electronic cloud, via the link provided in the announcement itself.

Claims and objections submitted within the deadline will be taken into account in the processing of the urban planning file.

Relevance for the city

The José María Escriche Sports City is one of the main sports infrastructures in the capital of Huesca, and this action will expand its services with a multipurpose building and a new multi-sport field. The investment, exceeding 2.5 million euros, reinforces the municipal sports facilities and opens the door to the tendering of the works once the public information process is completed and any possible objections are resolved.
