Huesca modifies the tribunal for the Local Police opposition exams

The Huesca City Council has modified the qualifying tribunal in charge of the selection process to permanently fill, through an open competitive examination system, 15 vacant Local Police positions within the civil service staff. The decision was adopted via Resolution No. 4973/2026, dated August 28, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 164, dated August 28, 2026.

The resolution, signed by Mayor Lorena Orduna Pons, accepts the recusal submitted by a substitute member of the tribunal and appoints their replacement, in a process that had been previously announced in BOPH number 159, dated August 21, 2026.

Changes to the qualifying tribunal

The municipal governing body has accepted the recusal of Mr. José Tomás Aznar Bentué, who was to serve as a substitute member of the qualifying tribunal. In his place, Mr. Samuel Lorenzo Pando is appointed as a substitute member for the corresponding selection tests.

Deadline for challenges and recusals

The resolution establishes a period of ten business days, counting from the day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca, for interested parties to file challenges or recusals regarding the members of the qualifying tribunal.

Such challenges may be filed when the circumstances provided for in Article 23 of Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, which regulates the causes for recusal and abstention of authorities and personnel serving public administrations, are met.

Publication and dissemination

In addition to its insertion in the official gazette, the resolution is ordered to be published on the Corporation’s electronic office and on the Huesca City Council website, in order to ensure the knowledge of applicants and the general public.

The modification of the tribunal is part of a selection process of great relevance for the capital of Huesca, which seeks to fill 15 Local Police positions through open competition, a procedure that generates significant interest among applicants and is key to reinforcing the municipal security force’s staff.
