Huelva aprueba las bases de las becas de prácticas ONCE-CRUE

The University of Huelva has approved the regulatory bases for the ONCE Foundation-CRUE Internship Scholarship Program, aimed at university students with disabilities. The resolution, signed by Rector José Rodríguez Quintero on September 22, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Government of Andalusia (BOJA) no. 192, of October 2, 2026, page 12892 (reference 00344124).

The text was arranged by the Governing Council of the University of Huelva on September 10, 2026, following a report from the General Secretariat. The scholarships are granted by the ONCE Foundation and co-financed by the European Social Fund+, within the framework of the collaboration agreement that the foundation and CRUE-Spanish Universities signed in 2014 and which has been subsequently renewed.

The University of Huelva has participated in this program since the 2015/2016 academic year, offering internship scholarships in public and private companies and institutions within the business network of Huelva and its province. The regulation aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 4 and 8 of the 2030 Agenda and with strategic objective 3 of the Strategic Grant Plan of the University of Huelva 2025-2027, approved by the Governing Council on January 29, 2025.

Requirements and Target Audience

Those who meet the following conditions may apply for the scholarships:

  • Have a recognized disability equal to or greater than 33%.
  • Be enrolled in Undergraduate or Master’s studies, whether official or university-specific, at the University of Huelva.
  • Not maintain a contractual relationship of a labor, service provision, or similar type with any company, institution, or entity.
  • Not be in the process of requesting their degree at the time of starting the internship.

Preference will be given to final-year students who have completed more than 50% of the credits of their degree without having yet benefited from academic internships, as well as those who have not been beneficiaries of a grant or financial aid in previous calls of the program.

Procedure, Deadlines, and Competent Bodies

The University of Huelva will carry out a public call per academic year, which will be published in the National Grants Database (BDNS) and, by means of an extract, in the BOJA. The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 business days from the day following the publication of the call in the gazette.

Registration will be carried out through the platform enabled by the Fundación ONCE (https://becas.fundaciononce.es/). The Area of Inclusion and Social Justice, attached to the Employment and Community Care Service, will be responsible for the organization, instruction, and selection, while the resolution will correspond to the holder of the Vice-Rectorate with competencies in Inclusion and Social Justice, by delegation of the Rectorate. The maximum period for resolution and notification may not exceed December 31 of the year of the call.

Amount, selection criteria, and compatibility

Selection will be based on four criteria: the applicant’s degree of disability, academic record, language certificate, and curriculum vitae. The individual amount provided by the Fundación ONCE will be set in each call and will cover direct remuneration to the student, the payment of their Social Security, and other actions developed by the university during the program.

Payment will be made monthly through the Remuneration and Social Security Unit of the University of Huelva, with a full month being considered when internships have been carried out for at least 15 days of that month. If the scholarship recipient leaves or resigns within a maximum of 8 days after the start, they will not receive financial support and the scholarship will be reassigned to another student. The aid is compatible with other welfare grants and with the non-contributory disability pension.

The guidelines will enter into force the day following their publication in the BOJA, repealing the previous ones. This measure reinforces the qualified labor insertion of students with disabilities from the University of Huelva and expands their first paid professional experience within the business fabric of Huelva.
