Hinojosa del Duque creates local commissions against gender-based violence

The Plenary of the City Council of Hinojosa del Duque, in an ordinary session held on August 6, 2026, agreed to the initial approval of the Regulations for the creation and operation of local commissions against gender-based violence. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba, number 168, dated August 31, 2026, and the file is subject to public consultation for a period of thirty days.
The processing is supported by Articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and Article 56 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18, which approves the revised text of the legal provisions in force regarding the Local Regime. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Matías González López, dated August 19, 2026.
A regulation for institutional coordination
The purpose of the new regulation is to regulate the creation and operation of local commissions against gender-based violence in the municipality, an institutional coordination instrument aimed at the protection of victims. The regulation defines the composition, functions, and meeting regime of these bodies, which articulate the municipal response to this issue.
Period for allegations
The file is available for examination and for the submission of any claims deemed appropriate during the public information period:
- Period: thirty days, starting from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba.
- Effect: if no allegations have been submitted after the period has elapsed, the agreement will be considered definitively approved.
Relevance for the municipality
The approval of this regulation provides Hinojosa del Duque with a stable framework for the coordination of services and agents involved in the prevention and care of gender-based violence, reinforcing the protection of victims at the local level.
