Hinojosa approves the ordinance for the cleaning of vacant lots and land

Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Hinojosa de San Vicente has initially approved the Special Regulatory Ordinance for the Cleaning of Land, Plots, and Enclosures, by agreement of the Plenary dated July 3, 2026. The text is subject to public consultation for thirty days and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo, number 167, of September 2, 2026, page 11, with the reference No. I.- 3875.

The processing is supported by articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of Local Government, and article 56 of the Recast Text of Local Government. The regulation responds to the need to regulate the maintenance of unbuilt urban spaces and enclosures, with the aim of preserving the health and image of the municipality.

Public consultation period

The file is open to the public for a period of thirty days, computed from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the provincial gazette. During this period, any interested party may examine the text and submit any claims and allegations they deem appropriate.

  • The document can be consulted at the municipal offices of the City Council.
  • It will also be available on the council’s electronic office.
  • If no claims are submitted within the specified period, the ordinance will be understood as definitively approved without the need for a new agreement.

Obligations for owners

The ordinance establishes the regime of obligations for the owners of land and plots within the municipal district, who must maintain them in conditions of cleanliness and health. Failure to comply with these obligations may lead to municipal action under the terms provided by the local government regulations.

Processing and signature

The announcement is signed by the mayor, Roberto Cano Vazquez, dated August 4, 2026. The document incorporates the verification code 2026.00003875, which allows its authenticity to be verified through the electronic office of the gazette.

The definitive approval of the ordinance will provide a key instrument for the municipality to demand the maintenance of plots and land, avoiding situations of abandonment that affect urban health and neighborhood coexistence. Affected owners now have one month to review the text and submit their observations before the regulation comes into force.
