High Court places Horse Sport Ireland under interim examiner

The High Court has placed Horse Sport Ireland Company Limited by Guarantee, the national governing body for equestrian sport, under interim examinership, appointing chartered accountant Joseph Walsh to the role. The appointment was made by Order of the High Court on 24 August 2026 under the Companies Act 2014, and the decision was published in Iris Oifigiúil on 28 August 2026 (reference [C-13]).
The petition was presented to the High Court on 24 August 2026 on the application of Horse Sport Ireland itself, which is registered at 1st Floor, Beech House, Millenium Park, Naas, Co. Confirmation hearing
A hearing to consider the appointment of Mr. Joseph Walsh as examiner to the Company will take place on Monday 14 September 2026 at 11:00am (or shortly thereafter) at the High Court, Four Courts, Dublin 7.
Any creditor or contributory of the Company who wishes to support or oppose the making of an order on the petition may appear at the time of the hearing, either in person or through counsel. A copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory who requires it by the undersigned solicitors.
