The call responds to the need to provide stable personnel for the municipal museum, dedicated to the history of silver mining in the town. Guide Requirements and Functions
Applicants must prove the tourism qualification required by the regulations of Castilla-La Mancha for the performance of information and guided tour functions. Specifically, the following will be valued:
- Qualification as a Tourism Guide of Castilla-La Mancha, or legally recognized qualification to practice said profession in the community.
- Qualification as a Local Tourism Information Officer, when applicable and allowing the performance of functions in the municipality of Hiendelaencina.
The duties of the position include providing attention and information to visitors, conducting guided tours, explaining the contents of the facilities and collections, disseminating the history of silver mining, and promoting the historical, mining, geological, industrial, and cultural heritage of the municipality. It also includes attending to groups, families, and individual visitors, the control and registration of visitors, the opening and closing of the museum, basic surveillance of the rooms, reporting incidents, and collaborating in cultural, educational, and outreach activities.
Job Bank and Submission of Applications
A Job Bank for Museum Monitor-Guide of the Silver Museum of Hiendelaencina will be established with the applicants who meet the requirements and participate in the selection process, ordered from highest to lowest score. The job bank may be used to cover vacations, sick leave, permits and licenses, substitutions, reinforcements, temporary or extraordinary needs, increases in visitors, and new museum opening requirements. Its validity will be two years, unless a new job bank is established to replace it, and inclusion in it shall not in itself generate a right to employment.
Applications shall be addressed to the Hiendelaencina City Council and submitted to the General Registry of the council, via the electronic office, or by any of the means provided for in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the rules and the call for applications before the Mayor’s Office within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months.
The call for applications represents a job opportunity in the heritage tourism sector for a small municipality in the province and reinforces the staffing of a museum facility linked to the mining memory of the area. The creation of a job bank with two years of validity will also allow the council to agilely cover future absences and visitor peaks without repeating a full selection process each time.
