Hervás announces two permanent labor staff positions via competitive examination

The Hervás City Council has published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) number 166, dated August 27, 2026, the rules and calls for applications to fill two vacant positions on its municipal staff: one for Home Care Assistant and another for Municipal Cemetery Manager. Both will be filled as permanent contractual staff through a competitive examination system, and interested parties will have twenty business days to submit their applications.
The calls were approved by Mayoral Resolution on August 12, 2026, and are disseminated via announcements signed on August 19, 2026, by the Mayor-President, Gloria de los Santos Vizcaíno Martín.
Two positions, two access systems
The two called positions present different profiles and conditions:
- Home Care Assistant: permanent contractual staff part-time, via the competitive examination system (official reference 2026081447).
- Municipal Cemetery Manager: permanent contractual staff, via the open competitive examination system (official reference 2026081448).

Deadline and method of submission
The deadline for submitting applications will be twenty business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcements in the Official State Gazette. Subsequent announcements for these calls, when applicable according to the rules, will be published in the Official Provincial Gazette, on the City Council’s electronic office (hervas.sedelectronica.es), and on the municipal notice board.
Relevance for the municipality
The call reinforces the essential services staff of Hervás, a municipality in northern Cáceres, by ensuring the coverage of home care and the management of the municipal cemetery. Publication in the DOE guarantees the publicity and transparency of the selection process, opening participation to all applicants who meet the requirements of the rules.
