Herencia publishes the admitted candidates for the two Local Police positions

The Herencia City Council has approved the final list of admitted and excluded persons in the selection process to fill two Local Police positions through the open competitive examination system. The resolution, signed by Mayor Sergio García-Navas Corrales on September 17, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real No. 181, dated September 21, 2026, under announcement No. 2997 and file 1012/2026. The same announcement names the qualifying board and convenes the first test of the examination.

The call for applications is governed by the rules approved by Mayor’s Resolution No. 236/2026, dated March 26, 2026, published in the BOP No. 61, dated March 30, 2026. The announcement is issued once the deadline for correcting applications has ended; therefore, the published list is now final and replaces the provisional one. The list includes 206 applicants, of whom 199 are admitted and 7 are excluded.

The excluded and the specified causes

The rules provide for three reasons for exclusion, which the announcement reproduces literally:

• Cause 1: failure to provide proof of payment of the examination fee.
• Cause 2: not possessing the required qualification.
• Cause 3: failure to state the qualification held in the Annex of declaration of meeting the requirements (rule 3, section 3.4).

The seven excluded applicants are so due to cause 1, except for order numbers 79 and 86, who accumulate causes 1 and 3. The complete nominal list, including surnames, first name, partial ID (DNI), and order number, appears in the published announcement.

Qualifying board

The resolution designates the permanent and substitute members of the body that will judge the process:

• Presidency: Gonzalo Lorente Moraleda, local police officer of Herencia; substitute Vicente José Olivares Gómez-Flor.
• Secretariat: Ana Solera Lama, secretary of the Herencia City Council; substitute José Cabezuelo Novella, municipal auditor.
• Permanent members: Cristina Garrido Victoria, Antonio Romero Romero, and Julián Fernando Cenjor Romero, local police officers, and Miguel Ángel Caballero Donado, Emergencies coordinator of the Provincial Delegation of Finance, Public Administrations, and Digital Transformation in Ciudad Real.
• Substitute members: Javier Librado Tajuelo, José Gómez-Calcerrada García-Parrado, César Huertas Lizcano, and Gema María Peinado Peral, Civil Protection technician of the aforementioned provincial delegation.
• Assistance: Ángel García-Morato Castillo, Sports coordinator of the Herencia City Council.

First test: three days in Campo de Criptana

The first test of the competitive examination will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the athletics tracks of the Hermanos Manzaneque sports complex, in Campo de Criptana (Ciudad Real), with the following call-up schedule according to the order number of the final list:

• September 30, 2026: from no. 164 to 206 and from no. 1 to 26, both inclusive.
• October 1, 2026: from no. 27 to 96, both inclusive.
• October 2, 2026: from no. 97 to 163, both inclusive.

Before the test, each candidate must present a medical certificate issued no more than thirty business days prior, stating that they are fit to perform the test (base 6). Those who do not provide it will not be allowed to take the exercise. All information is available on the municipal electronic office at the address herencia.sedelectronica.es.

The publication closes the admission process and starts the countdown for the 199 candidates who will compete for two officer positions in the municipality. For the Herencia City Council, the established calendar allows for filling two vacancies in its Local Police staff within a period of barely two weeks, while those excluded have the corresponding appeal process against a list that is now final.
