Haro receives 527,589 euros from the 2026 Local Cooperation Fund

The Government of La Rioja and the Haro City Council have signed the agreement regulating the municipality’s participation in the regional capital section of the La Rioja Local Cooperation Fund for the year 2026, with a regional contribution of 527,589 euros. The agreement, signed on July 15, 2026, was made public through Resolution 1380/2026, dated August 27, from the Technical General Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, Public Governance, Digital Society and Government Spokesperson, published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 170, dated September 4, 2026.
The agreement, registered under number 2026/0600, aims to determine the amount of Haro’s participation in the Local Cooperation Fund, as provided for in articles 31 and 34 of Law 8/2025, of December 28, on the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja for the year 2026, as well as to establish the destination of the funds and the subsidy regime.
Signatories and regulatory framework
The agreement was signed, on behalf of the regional Government, by President Gonzalo Capellán de Miguel, and on behalf of the Haro council, by Mayor-President Guadalupe Fernández Prado. The publication of the summary is processed under article 10 of Decree 13/2017, of April 12, which regulates the Electronic Registry of Agreements of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja.

Amount and validity
The financial obligation assumed by the Government of La Rioja amounts to 527,589 euros, destined for the financing of municipal services of the regional capital. The agreement will be in effect from the date of its signing until December 31, 2026, without prejudice to the financing of all activities carried out since January 1, 2026.
The resolution was signed in Logroño on August 27, 2026, by the Head of the Government Secretariat and Parliamentary Relations Service, Begoña Sáinz Martínez, by virtue of the delegation conferred by Resolution 894/2023, of July 20, of the Technical General Secretariat.
Relevance for the region
The regional capital section of the Local Cooperation Fund constitutes an essential financing route for municipalities that perform territorial reference functions. The contribution of 527,589 euros will allow Haro to sustain key municipal services during the 2026 fiscal year, within the framework of economic cooperation between the Autonomous Community and its local entities.
