Treasury awards three discretionary appointments in Valladolid

The Regional Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Junta de Castilla y León has resolved the public call to fill, through the system of free appointment, three job positions within its administrative structure. The decision is formalized in Order EYH/812/2026, of August 24, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 167, of August 28, 2026, and signed by the regional minister Carlos Fernández Carriedo.

The resolution stems from the call announced by Order EYH/607/2026, of July 1, published in BOCYL number 129, of July 7. The positions are awarded to the officials considered suitable candidates, in accordance with the reports issued by the management center to which the called positions are assigned, in exercise of the powers conferred by article 26.1 g) of Law 3/2001, of July 3, of the Government and Administration of the Community, and in accordance with articles 48 and 51 of Law 7/2005, of May 24, of the Civil Service of Castilla y León.

The awarded positions

The three destinations are located in the city of Valladolid and are divided between two management centers of the ministry. The awardees and their positions are as follows:

• Sonia Cano Herrador, Head of the Finance Service of the Directorate General of the Treasury and Financial Policy (RPT code 52287), group A1, level 28.
• Eva María Tabera Herrera, Advisor to the Directorate General of the Treasury and Financial Policy (RPT code 767233), group A1, level 27.
• Víctor Sánchez Marín, Technical Advisor to the Directorate General of Budgets, European Funds and Statistics (RPT code 65038), group A1/A2, level 26.

Deadlines for cessation and taking office

The order establishes an immediate schedule for the incorporation of the officials. The awardees must cease their previous destination, if applicable, within three business days following the publication of the order in the BOCYL.

The taking of office in the new position will occur on the business day following the cessation. If the resolution involves reinstatement to active service, the period will be ten business days from the day following its publication. The period between cessation and taking office is considered active service in the new position and will be remunerated. Copies of the cessation and taking office proceedings must be sent to the General Personnel Registry within the following three days.

Appeals and effects

Against the order, which exhausts administrative remedies, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the corresponding section of the Court of First Instance within two months from the day following its publication, in accordance with Law 29/1998, of July 13. Prior to this, and as an optional measure, a motion for reconsideration may also be filed before the same body of the Department of Economy and Finance within one month, pursuant to articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.

The filling of these freely appointed positions strengthens the management structure of the treasury, financial policy, and budget areas of the regional administration, at a time when the management of European funds and budgetary policy concentrate a significant part of the department’s activity. The appointment, with immediate effect, guarantees the continuity of services in the affected management centers.
