Guntín approves the water registry with the 2021 fee

The Guntín City Council initially approved, by Mayoral Decree of August 26, 2026, the tax roll for the domestic water supply tax, which includes the water canon corresponding to the third bimester of the year 2021. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 199, dated Tuesday, September 1, 2026, and simultaneously opens the period for public exhibition and voluntary payment.

Public exhibition and appeals

The tax roll is open to the public for a period of 15 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP of Lugo. During this period, interested parties may consult its content and present any allegations they deem appropriate.

An appeal for reversal may be filed against the Decree approving the tax roll before the Mayor-President of the Guntín City Council, with a submission deadline of one month counted from the day following the end of the public exhibition period. Against the express or presumed resolution of the appeal for reversal, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed in the form and within the time limits established in the Law regulating the aforementioned jurisdiction.

Voluntary payment and enforcement procedure

The collection announcement establishes that the receipts will be charged to the respective bank accounts, and the voluntary payment period is set for two months, from August 27, 2026, to October 26, 2026. Once this period has ended, collection will proceed via the enforcement procedure, with the surcharges provided for in Article 28 of Law 58/2003, of December 17, General Tax Law, through the Provincial Collection Service of the Provincial Council of Lugo.

Regarding the water canon, failure to pay during the voluntary period will result in its demand directly via the enforcement procedure by the competent department for treasury matters of the Xunta de Galicia. The repercussion of the water canon may be subject to an economic-administrative claim before the economic-administrative body of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, within one month from the date the notification is understood to have been produced.

Nature of the notification

The present publication, both as an edict for the public exhibition of the tax roll and as a collection announcement, has the nature of a collective notification, under the provisions of Article 102.3 of the General Tax Law. The document is signed in Guntín on August 26, 2026, by the mayor, Ángel Pérez Rodríguez.

The approval of this tax roll allows the council to regularize the collection of the water tax and the corresponding regional canon for the third bimester of 2021, a management action that directly affects the households and businesses of the municipality, which must remain attentive to the payment and appeal deadlines to avoid surcharges via the enforcement procedure.
