Guillena opens applications for textbook grants for the 2026/2027 academic year

The Guillena City Council has opened the call for grants for the acquisition of textbooks and educational materials for the 2026/2027 school year, with a maximum budget of 3,000 euros. The summary of the guidelines, numbered 221152 and with the identification BDNS 930262, is published in the Official Gazette of the province of Seville number 184, dated September 22, 2026, within the Local Administration section. Interested families have a period of 20 business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement.

The call is supported by Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, whose articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a require the publication of the summary and the submission of the full text to the National Subsidies Database, where it can be consulted using the identifier 930262. The announcement was signed in Guillena on September 18, 2026, by the delegated councilwoman for the Social Welfare Area, Antonia Hernández León, and bears the official reference BOP-SE-2026-184008.

Requirements: students and income thresholds

Beneficiaries may be students schooled in the municipality who are enrolled during the 2026/2027 course in any educational center in Guillena, Torre de la Reina, or Las Pajanosas, in any of these levels:

• First cycle of early childhood education (0-3 years).
• Second cycle of early childhood education (3 to 6 years).

Additionally, the family unit must be below the following thresholds, referring to the Public Indicator of Multiple Effects Income (IPREM) in force at the time of the call’s approval:

• Family units of 2 members: up to 1.8 times the IPREM.
• Family units of 3 members: up to 2.1 times the IPREM.
• Family units of 4 members: up to 2.4 times the IPREM.
• Family units of 5 members: up to 2.7 times the IPREM.
• For each member from the sixth onwards, included: 0.30 times the IPREM is added.

The amount of the mortgage or rent will be subtracted from said income, provided it is proven with the receipt from August 2026. For these purposes, the family unit is considered to be spouses, single-parent families, and domestic partners with dependent children.

Amount, deadline, and documentation

The maximum available amount is 3,000 euros, charged to budget application 326.480.14 of the municipal Budget for the 2026 fiscal year. The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 business days from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the province of Seville.

Along with the application, adjusted to annexes I, II, and III of the call, the following documentation must be provided:

• Photocopy of the applicant’s ID (DNI) and the family record book (libro de familia).
• Photocopy of the enrollment application or a certificate from the school proving schooling.
• Authorization for the Guillena City Council to verify the student’s enrollment with the educational center.
• Documentation proving the family unit’s income for the month of August 2026: employment history (vida laboral) and payslip, proof of other grants or income, SEPE certificate, Social Security certificate, or a sworn statement in the event that no income is received.
• Original invoice for expenses on books or educational materials.
• Proof of mortgage or rent payment for the month of August 2026.
• Authorization to collect information regarding social grants received by the family unit in August 2026.

Regulatory bases and procedure

The regulatory bases for these grants are contained in the Regulatory Ordinance for the granting of grants of the Guillena City Council, initially approved by the municipal plenary on December 14, 2017, and published in the Official Gazette of the province of Seville number 58, dated March 12, 2018, together with the specific bases of this call.

The procedure will be processed under a competitive bidding regime, through the comparison of the applications submitted and their priority according to the valuation criteria established in the call. Within the indicated budget limit, those applications that obtain the highest valuation will be awarded. For matters not provided for in the call, the regime of the municipal ordinance on grants shall apply.

The measure arrives with the school year already underway and affects families with children schooled in the municipality, who may recover part of the expenditure on textbooks and educational materials. The total amount of 3,000 euros and the distribution by competitive bidding imply that the actual aid will depend on the number of admitted applications and the score obtained; therefore, submission within the period of 20 business days is decisive to qualify for the grant.
